Euphoria has never been a safe show for the sexual abuse of women; almost every single female character has been assaulted and/or harassed while they were a minor, mind you. To me, the show has never actually portrayed any other characters' storyline particularly well, other than Rue's. Now that it's not focused on her addiction, it's all bad.

Not gonna lie, the amount of pearl clutching this episode by you two was cracking me up. It’s Euphoria. It all tracks. Personally I’m loving this season!

I definitely agree with about 90% of what you said overall, and I can’t wait to watch your reaction to the rest of the show I hope you don’t give up on this season just yet ❤️. But I feel like Jules would still let Rue in. She has a pattern of putting herself in risky situations since season one, especially when it comes to her feelings for Rue. It feels very on-brand for her.

I think Cassie and Nate's dialogue is like that because they are supposed to feel fake, and it comes off as bad writing because they don't know how to speak like normal people but I could be giving them too much credit.

Yeah, I think Angel is getting trafficked

I agree it feels like an alternate universe of the characters and they want use to believe that 4-5 years has caused these drastic personality shifts.

i didn’t take rue saying her dream job is running a strip club as genuine, i took it as her being a opportunist and not caring about others but herself and trying to get out of her current situation without realizing that alamo is just as bad if not worse than laurie. her mom said last season that she’s not a good person and i think so far the season is showing that well. also with her not realizing that the rehab center isn’t a rehab center or how she genuinely believed alamo was doing a nice thing. rue is a textbook loser, even when it comes to her constantly talking about how she misses highschool.😭

That first episode was pretty good. This one reminded me of the times I had to stop watching in season 2

I think the season is more about LA Influencer culture rather than Onlyfans in general. I also don't think this show ever had good writing or acting ever, only good thing about the show has always been it's impressive visuals and editing. But I do agree this season is especially bad.

I really hate all the stuff with Cassie and Nate. Its not only not interesting at its core but its also written and acted so poorly. I don't get why we need both the scenes of Cassie shooting her OnlyFans content and then her explaining what it is. Like they already did that last episode why the need to recap it again. Nate being $600k in debt and being so docile is something I'm just not understanding. And yea the entire style of them looking like they dressing and living in a house from the 60s and such a weird choice. I think the show doesn't know if Rue is sober or not either. Its definitely implicated that she did do drugs with Angel when they were hooking up in the van, so I'm just going to go with that she was lying to Jules about being sober. Also I hope this isn't the only episode where we see Angel. She was the best part of the episode for me which makes her the best part of the season so far. The way the shot inside the rehab and how they showed some guy waiting outside it definitely feels like they were implying she was getting trafficked. Also why else would Alamo give Rue a promotion just for getting someone to the rehab center? Alamo and crew still feeling very anime coded so far and I'm curious how far that goes.
