The Righteous Gemstones 3x9 | Watch Along

Those are locusts. It's a real thing, though obviously dramatized quite heavily. We used to have swarms like this. I think it was more of a midwest thing though. We actually killed off the USA native locusts in the early 1900s. You're right in that they are grasshoppers! All locusts are grasshoppers but not all grasshoppers are locusts. Certain species will sometimes change behaviors entirely and begin to swarm like this. It's a whole thing and is mentioned quite prominently in the bible. The largest swarm in the US was in 1875 and almost 200,000 square miles long with an estimated 12 TRILLION insects.

Although I think Steve Zahn's character sacrificing himself would've made for a stronger ending. Seeing Aimee Leigh at the end smiling at her family being together always warms my heart and bring tears to my eyes. Truly Beautiful!

After this last season, we need Vice Principals and then finish it off with Eastbound & Down!

no one going to mention how the swarm of locusts is literally from the bible lmao

Wooweesucka

Military school for children really dont teach kids how to fight. It teaches more physical fitness, discipline, and teamwork. It actually did a lot for my nephew who was having problems. Sometimes, some people need a different way of structure. It's not for everyone, though.

I absolutely love this episode. I thought this was a perfect ending to the show and was skeptical about the 4th season, but its really good too! some big actors join the cast, cant wait for ya'lls reaction!

I say it after every season... this was my favorite...And Dollys cover of Shine from 2001 was cherry on top............Bible bonkers! now its stuck in your head too.....

Goddang I love this show

The song is a Dolly Parton cover of the original - one of my favorite covers she's done!

The worst part about The Righteous Gemstones is that it ended! Definitely the best season thus far, excited for you both to get to season four!
