Frieren 1X13-14 | Watch Along

Not sure if you're aware or not or just going for subtitles for your own use but on Crunchyroll "English (CC)" does not translate any incidental text. "English" does but does not subtitle normal text. It's not very well designed lol. Anyway, you're not missing a toooon BUT the important bit is with the introductory shots that begin each story. The japanese text on the top right will translate to something along the lines of "26 years since the Death of Himmel the Hero in XYZ region" with that number going up as more time passes. So if there's any confusion with the timeline that's probably why. I'm not sure how you'd actually get both the subtitles and the translations. Dubs, especially when it comes to subtitles, are often overlooked in dumb ways like this. It's pretty frustrating! Anyway, sorry if you've mentioned this in a past episode and decided to stay with English (CC) regardless. I'm still quite a few episodes behind but wanted to post this on the latest episode on the off chance you were not aware. Really enjoying this and your other reaction videos so far, though!

Love the reactions! I find ep 14 to be especially entertaining with the one-two punch of giving Fern/Stark shippers hope, while also cementing bittersweet evidence that there was definitely romantic love between Himmel and an oblivious Frieren (with Frieren only recently realizing and maybe even reciprocating that feeling)
