I love the Grinch lore from Maple at the beginning lol! To me this is the ultimate Christmas movie, saw it several times in theaters when it came out, and as a kid I always wanted to be funny like Jim Carrey so I'd go around the house during Christmas and start yelling lines from the movie pretending to be the grinch full-send. Brings back good memories, one of my comfort movies for sure, glad you guys watched it hah!

It wasn't until I was adult when I found out other people didn't like it. I choose to keep my love for the movie despite what some people say.

Yes. Liar Liar never gets old to me. He knocks it out the park in that one.
Jim Carrey said that having all of the prosthetics and makeup was like being "buried alive ever day." He started to get increasingly aggressive because of the pain the makeup would put him in, and would regularly get into verbal spats with the makeup artists. It got so bad that a makeup artist had to take a break from the movie and went into therapy and only came back because the production agreed to help them get their green card. In order to deal with Jim Carrey behavior they brought in someone who's entire job was to train CIA agents how to endure torture, he gave Jim some tips on dealing with the pain of getting the Grinch makeup put on. There is a clip of him talking about it on the Graham Norton Show.
