If you want to know more about the "gabagool song," where it came from, how it became The Sopranos theme, check the link... https://youtu.be/s4gK67BJYVE?t=2155 It's from a YouTube podcast, Talking Sopranos, made by Michael Imperioli (Christopher) and Steve Schirripa (Bobby Bacala) during Covid. They talk about every episode of the show, behind the scenes stuff, funny stories, with guest interviews of all the major characters. If you're a Sopranos fan, it's worth a look.

The music for this ep was Creator David chase wife idea

All of the fades to black in this episode reminded me of them doing that constantly in Law and Order. Maybe that was on purpose given how cop centric this episode was or I'm misremembering it not being in any of the previous episodes.

@8:21 Combining 2 songs like that are called "Mash-ups". In case you're wondering, the name of this particular one is by The Police vs Henry Mancini - "Every Breath You Take/Peter Gunn Theme".

Easily one of my favourite episodes of the series, the song selections are perfect. It’s mostly chosen by David Chase the shows creator.
