All three seasons of this show are incredible, but there is something so magnetic and nauseating and anxiety inducing about this first season that makes me feel things no other show ever has. It’s so perfect and there’s nothing like it
“Go get another bracelet” 😂
your faces are so good after almost every interaction. Glad you gals are enjoying the show!
The befuddled facial expressions at the craziness are tremendous
What I like about this episode is that it shows Paula up for not being substantively different or better than Olivia. Olivia uses Paula, but Paula uses Kai; does she really care about him getting what he's owed? I doubt it, she just wants to get back at this obnoxious family and her evil friend. She could've stolen the bracelets herself, but she let Kai assume all the risk.
Next episode is insane, next season is my favorite, and the 3rd is probably the best, imo
don't forget about the body on the plane from the opening scene of the season :)
If something about the actor playing Greg (Jon Gries) seems familiar... he played Uncle Rico in Napoleon Dynamite.
Yeah, he can throw a pigskin a quarter mile.
To give some perspective on the kind of money Shane comes from, his mom mentioned meeting with a friend she knew from Miss Porter's School - it's an all girls prep school in the middle of Connecticut that costs nearly $70,000 per year. For a high school.
I hope they watch more things with Connie Britton to realize just how good of an actress she is.
It'd be nice if they really changed it up and watched Spin City. That's where I remember becoming a Connie Britton fan.
In an interview, Mike white (show runner) said rich people always have a paranoia that other people are fucking with them because they're jealous about their wealth. that's why he made Shane such an azzhole. Also, stealing from other people is NEVER OK, that's one F'd up rationalization. Because once you start down that road, you can justify anything.
I think it's an exaggeration to say you can justify anything if you can justify stealing. For instance, your mom dies, all her jewelry goes to your dad, your dad remarries, and decides to give a necklace your mom wore everyday to your new stepsister who then gloats about what knock-off trash it is whenever you argue and threatens to break it anytime she wants something from you. Many would consider stealing that necklace okay. But does justifying stealing in that situation mean you can justify... rape or... child murder or... maiming someone because they parked in your parking space? No. Stealing is sometimes okay. And just because you think stealing is sometimes okay, that doesn't mean you think everything is okay.
