Literally missed the best line of the episode talking about damn enchiladas.

One of the best episodes in television. The ending where he looking at Serenity gives me a few tears every time. Also, "We all die alone."

one of the best episodes. An amazing episode for Mal. Shows how he reads each situation & person and acts accordingly. Kaylee is worried = so he is big brotherish and speaks to her calmly - but recognized her gift when the first met & added her to the crew in an instant(even though he already had a mechanic); he is more aggressive with Wash because his loyalties are being split between Zoe and Serenity and Wash is more beta than alpha. Reads Jayne instantly & knows how not to get shot & add a tracker/muscle to the crew. - Fun tidbit: Gina Torres was getting married and needed time off, so this the story they came up with to provide the days off.

This was the first episode I saw, it was on during a marathon on scifi or something. I had heard of it but it was something I never got into. As soon as I saw this I realized that this is exactly what I want from a tv show, went out and bought the DVD about a week later. Amazing episode of television.

My favorite episode by far. I think in the original airing order, this came out... I want to say 5th? And I had been lukewarm on the show until then, due to the Fox fuckery, but this one really cemented it for me as a must-watch.

When the show was cancelled, Alan Tudyk (Wash) gave the red button to Joss Whedon and said that if they ever needed the cast and crew, just press the button and they'd all return 🥲
