The most joyous thing about watching others discover Arrested Development is knowing that each episode becomes more unhinged than the past and you get to watch the newbies say “How much crazier can this get!?” …and you just chuckle and enjoy their descent into madness.

That ethics teacher teaches well by name, teaches very well by reputation.

Miss Baerly says she was given the assignment to teach the ethics class when the previous teacher (Mr. Daniels) experienced a massive stroke. In a later scene Maeby implies that she was likely responsible for Mr. Daniel's stroke: "... she’s probably going to take him to that stupid Diversity Dance. I wish I had someone shocking to take. You know, I actually called Mr. Daniels and asked him, but he got all out of breath and dropped the phone. I never heard back."
