Great reaction. This movie both scared and fascinated me as a kid. Majority of Jim Henson stuff does all tend to be amazing imo. And good call out for similarities to Dinosaurs, that was another Jim Henson production. I hope you react to more.
Man, I would *love* to rewatch Age of Resistance with you guys. Maybe one day...for whatever reason it didn't take off, but I remember it being really good...probably not popular enough for a series on the channel though (at least not with all the other contenders). The artistry of it is just not something you see every day, really special. If y'all end up just checking it out at home for yourselves, you should also see the "Making of..." video, getting to look behind the scenes on a series like that is really interesting!
As much as I love this one, I think the Age of Resistance Netflix show is even better.
Just HAD to sub to catch the full Dark Crystal nostalgia on this one!
first saw this as a little kid and it scared the shit out me--those are some creepy muppets!!!!
You all were probably planning to watch this one before you even posted Labyrinth, but I'm going to go ahead and take credit for this recommendation anyway. So, you're welcome. No need to thank me (feel free to, though). Edit: Regardless of whether or not you watch it for the channel, Age of Resistance is worth viewing. Also, relevant to Dinosaurs: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VzZi-YrkRY
The Dark Crystal is such a great example of what you get when artistry and storytelling is the priority, so beautiful. I liked the series, unfortunately it only got 1 season. If you’ve seen any classic Muppet stuff, you have heard Jim Henson’s voice…most notably, he was the og Kermit! Highly recommend the Jim Henson Storyteller series as well, might not work great for the channel but worth watching on your own time 😊
A childhood classic. To this day I remember watching the scene where the Skeksis attack their own and stripped him in pure shock and horror as a 5 year old. Ah the classics lmao.
