Let’s clear the air
Let’s clear something up.
I’ve seen a couple of complaints about this update having too much side content and not enough story. I’ve explained this a dozen times across Patreon and Discord but let me say it more bluntly I guess.
This update was about building the foundation for everything coming next. I’ve been talking about these minigames and systems for months. They’re not random distractions. They’re permanent features designed to support future storylines, events, and progression.
And because the game reached the weekend, all those locations needed to become accessible together. That meant building several massive systems in a single month.
I’m one developer, working roughly 18 hours a day. Building all of that AND delivering a full story update in the same month simply is not realistic. As I’ve said before, the upcoming updates will return to focusing on story. The groundwork is now in place.
About the prices: Cameras and outfits are expensive intentionally. They’re long-term progression systems, not content you’re supposed to unlock in one afternoon. If you cheat your way through everything immediately, that’s your choice, but you’re skipping the experience they were designed to provide.
And the F95 scene? Sure, it ran a little long. Cringe? Maybe. I said six months ago I’d put those guys in the game. I kept my word. Moving on.
Here’s what I want everyone to understand: You’re not waiting 8 months for a release here. I release updates every month. Not every update can advance every part of the game equally. Sometimes I move the story forward. Sometimes I build the systems that make the next chapters possible. I understand wanting more story. But I’m one guy. I can’t do everything at once in one month. And rushing development just to fill a monthly quota would ultimately hurt the game Im building.
This month built the foundation. The next updates build on it.

Seriously. nobody cares about the complainers want. just noise when everyone else is appreciating the heck out of your efforts.
To be honest, I don't really understand the complaints. You are extremely transparent in what you do and develop. No one explained to me why the cameras are so expensive either; I figured it out myself. Just do your thing and everything will be fine.

The bus pass is available. You get it naturally on Saturday.
Don't worry about the people commenting while they still live in the Basement of there mums house, mate. "You cannot please everyone all the time, you can only please some of the people some of the time". Your doing a fantastic job, your very forthcoming and open, which most of us appreciate. There are creators out there who deliver a 3rd of what you do every 3 months, and have all the excuses composed by A.I.

On my new game re-start. This time giving Elliot a proper thank you after helping fix the internet... way yay.....!! 😁
The game is set to be huge, spanning eight and a half weeks (not to mention New Game+) and so far, only the first week has been completed. People need to be more patient 🫠🤷. I just hope the developer doesn't become overwhelmed by the sheer volume of content. There's still another protagonist to consider, and I imagine that very little, if anything, from Annika's storyline can be reused for that. All this new, expensive content (cameras, outfits, etc) is probably intended for the latter part of the game. In fact, you'll probably need to use New Game+ (meaning well over 60 days of playtime) to unlock everything without using cheats. Hopefully, the town's mysterious atmosphere will remain intact throughout the first three weeks at least 🙏. The foundations are already mostly in place, and that’s the basis on which everything else is built 😉.
Exactly right across all points except one. Carter is no longer planned to be playable. The rest of it you are absolutely correct.
Don't dwell on those complaints, I'm glad it branched out quite nicely and no matter what you do, there will always be complaints, even if you somehow miraculously make it to the end. Some complaints can be motivating, full of ideas, and others are just the constant whining of eternally dissatisfied people, so if you don't learn to perceive it this way, it can put you down one day. 😵💫🙏😈 So now that you've opened up new possibilities for us, I can't wait for the continuation.😉
Keep the game true to your vision and on your timeframe. These people don't really care about the game just their own wants and needs. Otherwise they would realise that you are assembling building blocks that will eventually lead to a full and complete game that is one of the best on the market.

I want to be able to start over fresh with no saves as if running the game for the first time. I had in the past, saved past the save point. I have deleted the old games and installed it a fresh. However, the old saves still show up when I load the game. The reason I want to start afresh is I am running into a situation when I start new game where the main character after her first shift at the bar, you cannot get the character to be able to go into sleep mode. Keeps saying I still have things to do even though I show no tasks in the journal. How can I get this game to that point where I can start new. Do I need to start using the previous release first and then to the new one? I appreciate your help. This is a great game, and I am grateful for the time and great effort you put into it. I am an old-timer from the days when it was a cool computer if you had two floppy drives and top of the line if you had 64k or RAM. Yeah, I am that old!!!!
lol. I'm willing to bet you are on Day 2 and you haven't done the Ladder Quest and that's why you can't sleep, not because your saves have bugged you out... Make sure AFTER work on Day 2, you have got the ladder down from the barn. Also, having your old saves will not break your game... USING those saves, can break it, but just having them won't affect your game... And for your future reference, Ren'Py doesn't save the SAVES into the game folder, so no matter how many times you delete it, they'll be there. They save into your C drive in your Ren'Py AppData folder.
Keep doing what you are doing. You have a plan stick to it. Personally updating every month or even every other month is fantastic. Most dev's take 6 or more months then give you a 10 minutes update of the game, sometimes they just abandon the game. I have a bunch of games waiting on update. You however are a damn good Developer, you care. That's why I support you. Only one I support.

Okay....here's the thing, I started a continue from my my last save Friday 6th day. After then playing the next two days of new content Saturday and Sunday, although very impressed I was a little dissapointed that I didn't see a lot of new videos or character interaction. So I decided to start a new game. OH.....MY....GOD....!!! I will only say to all those playing from an earlier build save stop right now and start a new game......you will be astounded...!!! This creator really has done something magical. So much so that I'm gonna climb to the next support level as a way of saying THANK YOU x
I think that's what I need to do. A lot of acheivements missing and dev has talked about content I haven't seen. I've just restarted the game so many times. That's not a complaint about the development. I know I'm playing as it is being built. Just hard to go back and trudge back through again. But hearing you talk about the increased interactions, I think it is at that point where I need to do a fresh play through.
You shouldn’t occupy your mind with negativity, people don’t appreciate how much work goes into this. When I inquired about new waitress content a few days ago I hope you didn’t take that as an insult or count me among your detractors, I was just curious because that is my favorite aspect of your game.
Nope. I didn't. It was only two people. I didn't want to call them out so I just addressed it publicly because if 2 people are thinking it, then more are. You work really hard on something and release it into the world and it gets shit on, you're like "Well, that sucks. I mean, there's only so much I can do in one update. Unless you guys want longer update cycles." And I think people would complain if I did that so, damned if you do damned if you don't.
Hi at first thank you for your work and creativty, I am ok with the quality and the volume of the version 0.07, I have only problems with the fonts you use for the text in Annika's Journal, massage mini game ok just little training for short time, I have tested some frizzing issue with changing closing back to cabin at night, but not sure if it's a bug on the game. So I will continue my membership. Thx Regards
Are the fonts hard to read for you or something? What's the issue exactly. If I can fix it if it's a global problem, I will.

It was a great update for the game's world-bulding, I loved it, and i'm excited to see how these new locations and mechanics will be expanded upon. Besides, releasing an update every month is a great way to keep players engaged and invested in the project. Don't listen to the haters. Your game is on the right path to becoming something great!
You are the most transparent developer on Patreon, daily update saying what you are working on. Yet people are upset ypu didn't move the story forward? You have said all along this was back system need later to move the story later. You do monthly updates, Harvesting Corruption will have more content in six month than most developers do in a year. I enjoy that you are taking along for the plot and character development. Remembering its a in process game not developed, some months will have more story and others will have less.

F the complainers. Your game is gold ore and some people just wanna see gold bars, then there's the people who want the bars etched with writing. Maintain your gold ore and keep your inner peace. Please go at your own pace and despite me writing to say ignore those comments now (since those very comments resulted to this post); please know you are doing great. Keep pouring love into your art because your art is loved.
