Good and Bad News

So about 6 months ago when my last 14th gen i9 fried, I took it in and thought I had them replace it.
So I was under the assumption that I’d likely have a warranty. What I forgot, and was reminded of in the shop, was that I couldn’t afford the new i9 and instead had them just put in my friends old one… Which is likely why it’s already burnt out. How I forgot that I don’t know.
So the bad news is, I have no warranty, a new i9 cost $700, and I have $100 to my name.
There is some good news. The good news is he had an old i9 there at the shop. It’s used. So it might only cost $200-$400. IF IT WORKS. That’s key here. So there’s a chance it’s not even a good i9, and regardless, I still only have $100. (Edit: His i9 did not work so I have to buy a new one)
So what I’m going to do is post my PayPal and CashApp info and ask for donations if anyone can. Probably won’t get a ton doing that but it will speed the process a little. I’d wait a week or two till I have that much in Patreon but that money feeds my kids so, it’s going to be a long time to save that much. 5 kids isn’t cheap, trust me.
Anyway, I know it’s not great news but on the positive side, I’ll have a new processor and can get back to work.
So, if you have the means to help and feel like helping me get the pc back to working, I’ll leave my info below. If not don’t worry, I expect nothing from anyone. I’m just doing what I can.

Your using Intel which is your problem. I haven't used Intel Slop Chips in years, switched to AMD and never went back. Will throw you some $$ though.
Yea I’ve always built with Intel but after both of my i9s going bad, I’ll be switching to AMD next year. They’ve lost a long time customer. Also thank you! If you’d like a character named after you and even to look like you, just let me know. You hit the mark where I give named characters. :)

Just got news from the pc place. His processor the used one, does not work. So not only do I have to buy a new $700 processor. But I have to pay upfront, and won’t get my pc back till at least Monday.
