Lets load up some coal for April
It has been a little bit of time since we posted, because Kyle has been working hard to get this done. He doesn't want to show it off until it is ready - and there's a few areas that he doesn't want out there quite yet.

I seen it on the deckplans but wasnt 100% sure that there are 2 water tight doors between the fire men tunnel and boiler room 6 - using the area between for water pumps makes sense! awesome work guys.
Finally this what I am waiting for off the beaten path the less known technical part of the ship. Well done THG!!

I've been walking about this area of the ship, and have a question. If all the firemen and stokers used the spiral stairs shown above, and the tunnel into the initial boiler room, how did any of them get further aft? There seems to be no access to the other boiler rooms. And if they needed 2 spiral stairs one up and one down to handle the shift change traffic, then the cat walks over the boilers would be a traffic jam for sure. (?)
Picture 8 seems to show a bit of a gap. i wonder if they'd duck down as they moved from room to room, making sure not to burn themselves on the boiler housing?

Wow! Just WOW. The engines and inner workings of Titanic is what fascinates me the most. Even mor than the luxurious passenger areas. Just keep it comming :-D
