A Mini Update and Daniel Bim's Highlight Reel
Hello all! A little update.
The modelers and programmers are continuing to work on furniture and fittings. We posted a video highlighting Daniel Bim's work! Sorry it wasn't posted early to Patreon this time, but we finished it just this morning.
Some more of Daniel's models (he made these yesterday after the video was already rendering.)
The flag is a placeholder and will be replaced.
He also was given lots of feedback on a settee that will be in many cabins.
The modelers have been told to wrap up whatever pieces they have started and are outstanding so we can move onto the next part of the process. Most of the common furniture and fittings have been made now (beds, chairs, lights...things you find in almost every cabin and room) and we're very eager to get this things actually into Titanic.
However as you know, our Titanic is just a shell...
Kyle brought this up in the Livestream earlier this month, but the goal now is to start blocking out the paneling for cabins and rooms using the hull model! Since certain elements are finished on the hull that are important to getting the correct shape of rooms, the process has been figured out and blocking has begun.
Thanks to our friends at Oceanliner Designs (since we basically share team members at this point) our biggest concern was already solved: how do handle panels that curve/bend to the sheer and camber of the ship.
Our lead researcher and model checker, Robin, along with Matteo the modeler, worked this out in Blender for OD's Carpathia.
Using Blender's node system, paneling can be manipulated rather easily for the curves of the ship. Now it's time to apply it to Titanic! We will be using paneling such as this...
...and filling in C deck cabins and staterooms like these.
We are literally just beginning this process. We'll update more when we have results that look more interesting than this:
As in regards to the Alpha, Kyle is back at work filling in the offices with furniture and THG props. He was affected for a few days from the tornadoes in the Midwest (he lost power for days) but he's back at it. There's also some bug fixing going on as the last build we released broke some doors.
Thanks and stay tuned for more! You can always get the latest updates on our Patreon Discord!

i can't watch the video....
I explored in Demo401 and I saw a plate with a cinnamon roll on it, it made me really want to get a cinnamon roll and put it on the same plate I have at home. I was wondering if there will be variety in different objects such as each cinnamon roll having different textures. Other than this, everyone working at THG has done an amazing job on the game.
lol now I want a cinnamon roll...
Hello, developers. Will the game released this year? I'm a crazy fan of Titanic, and I have known this game since the movie The Six released in Chinese Mainland.I really hope that I can play this game before 2027!
Hello: I've been following TH&G for about 10 years and am inclined to agree with some other followers about how things seem to be going. I've certainly appreciated the work that has gone into this project and continue to be so impressed--not only with what has been done but also in anticipation of the end product. (I'm assuming the original intent for a game-like format is still intended, but I may be wrong.) Such being the case, I have to wonder whenever (or if?) there will be an end product--especially as I'm nearly 77 years old! Others have made suggestions similar to what I've considered. I'm thinking about the feasibility of TH&G putting out a "completed" product for sale asap. Then, as fully advertised, it would be updated through later editions (2.0, 2.3, etc.) for an additional, smaller charge when further improvements are made. So, instead of sharing those improvements a bit at a time, enough of them would be retained for a while (maybe with some advertising of "coming attractions") until periodically sold as another edition. I've thought about this kind of marketing because I've seen games such as on "Steam" having done that kind of thing. It's just my 2-cents' worth. Regards, Dr. Rick Hahn
Welcome aboard THG Daniel. 🫡 Incredible skills for sure...
The use of Blender's node system with making sure that cabins to the ship's sheer and camber is really a breath of fresh air. Also welcome aboard THG Daniel!
The coolest part is seeing the work advance at a quicker pace and watching the ship come together like one enormous puzzle.
