The corruption is not instantaneous. This instance softens Charlotte up to the idea of future depravity, instilling in her the idea that it's ok/accepted/required to do such things, and +1s to a corruptive state that if escalated, leads to some dark scenarios.
Depravity and corruption all day every day.
It's always satisfying watching claire going "Blood for the blood god" on some douche bags ass.
