This is based on a true story when I was on my vacation a few weeks ago.

One of my worst fears came true in a similar fashion. I was almost out of gas and had no signal, luckily I was able to find a gas station nearby after taking an exit onto a back road 😭 scariest 7 minute drive ever
We were almost out of gas, and drove like 10 minutes off the highway to the 'closest' gas station. The GPS told us we arrived, and I don't know where we were, but there were no lights anywhere, and just beside us was a floating number in the pitch black night. We saw another car at the 'gas station', and watched it drive off. "Oh we're definitely getting murdered here" as we drove up to lightless gas station and found that all the pumps were out of service.
