Expressions

Marina comes with a pretty large range of expressions. For her eyebrows, I ended up using separate raised 3D pieces instead of keeping them completely flat against the face. I think this works much better with her design and gives them a bit more volume and a more natural cartoony look.

They are still somewhat editable, though. You can overlay textures on them and move them around, so they sit somewhere between completely fixed 3D eyebrows and the more freely editable eyebrow systems I use on some other characters.

I included eyeshadows but I did not end up adding the nose line or tears this time. I wasn't sure how much people would actually use them, and I also wanted to move on to the next project.

You might notice I followed the same principle as with Kit and Peach Star and I've added slight deformation of the mouth for asymmetric eye-expressions - such as winking. This might become the norm.

This imposed asymmetry works fine for a couple of mouth-expressions but it isn't designed for all expressions.

Headmod

Headmod UVs are straight forwards.

Clothes & Accessories

For the accessories, the headphones were the only part I didn't make completely from scratch. For the hair I added named bones like MarinaHariBackL.001. I'm trying to keep a similar naming so you can find them and understand them quicker.

The top is fairly straightforward but with a caveat. Because of the way the separated pieces and zipper sections are built, there is only so much freedom I could give them with bones before the setup starts becoming unnecessarily complicated. I decided not to add extra bones just for the sake of having more controls, so there is a bit of a compromise between editability and keeping the outfit practical to use. The zipper sections in particular simply do not behave especially well with heavy bone deformation, but I did my best to keep everything working as naturally as possible.
