The Walking Dead Season 6 Episode 16 + Season 7 Episode 1 (UNEDITED REACTION!)

Yea I am done, I have better things to do than watching sheer violence...

I just realized that although I’ve watched this series several times, this is only the second time watching this episode. I never could bring myself to do it, but I’m invested in Tom’s journey: this is gut wrenching.

Also Negan's actor is the voice of Conquest and Glenn's is the voice of Invincible. So in a way Glenn got his get back.

I had seen that scene and knew Glenn died long before I actualy watched the show, and I still bursted into tears when I got to this episode. I think that speaks to how loved Glenn was as a character. I knew it was coming and it still made me ugly cry when he died. RIP Glenn. He was the heart of the show.

I gotta ask, why would anyone want to watch this for fun/entertainment? This just makes you feel horrible. Every show has ups and downs, but this one only has downs and it's mentally torturing its viewers. I feel like we all need a therapy session with Tom after watching these episodes.

The only episode Tom dosen't dance to the intro... Oh, we're here. God bless you Tom. I hope you keep going, even though this is where a good amount of fans stopped watching just cause they couldn't take anymore.

wow, that had to be the saddest episode in tv show ever, amazing production, gave me goosebumps the entire time. Glen was my favorite character, and I loved Abraham's lines in the show, always a comedic relief him and Eugene. I've never seen this show before and I'm watching it along with you, and these episodes broke my heart.

Oh tom, this is the big one I think everyone was (kinda) dreading for you to see :( Glenn’s death hurt so bad, my bestie and I cried so much that whole episode. It was so hard to move on. 6 months later we got to go to comic con and met Steven Yeun (Glenn) & we both cried again cause we were the biggest fangirls at the time lol. He was sooo nice, he hugged us tightly and said “guys it’s ok I’m still alive!”. He was so great ! Season 7/8, I think, are best being able to binge it like you can! Back in the day it was really hard to move on and follow the savior arc. I think millions of people were just devastated that 7/8 got a little too much hate. But it’s worth it to the end! I would totally understand if you took a break, this is TWD’s “red wedding” episode lol. Much love Tom!

I saw this episode back in the day, and several times after. It did not get easier. Especially with Glenn...

Why are the videos always low bit-rate when it's a live recording? It's not an issue with the stream cause the camera video looks fine, it's just the show screen and only happens when it's a recording of a live.

And tom..trust we all felt the same way after watching this episode. We were all drained. In the comic, this is also how Glenn went.

Episode 2 is what was needed after this first episode. It should lighten the mood some if possible

You are correct about Negan just being a regular guy that fell into power and thats the main difference between Negan and The Governor. The Governor is just pure evil and a psychopath where as Negans more so being the leader the Saviors need him to be.

This is where I stopped watching. Killing off a favorite character kills the show. Also, the fact we had to wait 6 months to find out who was gone is more than a regular cliffhanger. The whole thing felt like a F you to the fans, and I was like F you too and stopped watching! 😅🤷🏻‍♂️

We needed to be there for you Tom. We needed to be there. 🩵… and we were.

I had S07E01 spoiled for me when TWD chatroom was initially opened and it still hurt, now I see why a lot of people stop here, that episode was really depressing to watch, especially with tom crying 😔

This is as brutal as it can get. The most horrifying and sickning episode without a doubt. I hope it didn't traumatize you too much Tom. The good news is it doesn't get worse than this from now on.

Negan is aaallll about the psychological warfare, interesting how he so ruthlessly beat 2 people to death but did not force Rick to actually chop off Carl's arm... proves it's more than simple sadism going on here

I was dreading this episode for Tom. Couldn’t wait for the savior arc to be done. What helped me deal was seeing some candid photos from the show that had Glen and Abraham drinking Starbucks and smiling, in their special effects makeup. They were from Steven Yuen’s instagram ❤️

Seasons 7-8 were an absolute drag for me. Not even because of what happened in this episode, but the quality of the writing becomes pretty poor. Season 9 gets things back on track, but considering your run of the “classic” “og” era of TWD over. Show never recovered in live viewership after this time.

I only seen til 6 episodes from now, its not even the trauma that stopped me watching, its the silliness that is to come when what we want is redemption !. show gets very ridiculous now tiger

Negan is a sadistic c%$@ s%!@er. I love the actor who plays him, He seems like a great guy but negan can go suck himself. We're supposed to roll out the red carpet for him because he's not a rapist and looks out for kid? Thats the bare minimum as a human being. He gets soo much worse as the series goes on and shows us and he isnt all that layered. Anyone who likes Negan or thinks he's cool is lame.

I think for me it was easier when I had waited for months between seasons. I had had time to distance myself from the characters. I had also been spoiled on who got killed as it was aired later in my country. I just couldn’t not stay away from spoilers. It was still a brutal watch but I was prepared for the loss.

Our therapist 100% needs therapy after this one😭💔 Edit: Also can I just say how much of a crime it is that Rick’s actor did not win any sort of award for his acting this episode? He was amazing!!

That last conversation between Abraham & Eugene is really sad because we strongly believed when first seeing it that Eugene was about to die. That last conversation between them is still very sad because Abraham ended up dying. Abraham & Glenn were very hopeful and they both envisioned a long future with Maggie & Sasha respectively, I think the writers definitely knew what they were doing by choosing those two to be the ones to go. And Daryl….i said when Denise died that she was the fourth in a list of names that Daryl blamed himself for their deaths. Now we can add Glenn’s name to that list.
