pretty sloppy writing imo to allow Dexter to get away with everything from new blood... but ill allow it just to get Dexter back out in the world.
39:38 "why would I encourage that incompetence" she says as she walks around in her regular clothes, touching her face right before touching a trash bag, and digging through the bags leaving DNA all over the place... She should leave it to the CSI team with full body suits. That whole scene is a massive risk of cross contamination. I know Dexter isn't very realistic but the irony in that statement is hilarious.

With him pretending to be Quinn, remember this now takes place 10 yrs after the old show, so it’s the 2020s and there are smartphones we see being used here… but since Dexter has woken up, he’s probably been on his phone and these days you can see who works at city government agencies on their websites, they usually list their employees. So he could see who still worked at Miami Metro
From what parts of Resurrection I’ve seen it’s a really good series. I’m always amazed at how easy it seems to be to tear off a hospital ID on a show or movie when it’s almost impossible to to actually get those buggers off of the wrist. It was great to hear “Red Right Hand”on here. I’m so used to hearing the song on Peaky Blinders.
Fun fact the showrunners initially wanted to move forward with a Harrison spin-off with fans speculating Dexter would return only as Harrisons dark passenger. Showtime actually picked up this project before New Bloods finale aired and the showrunners even announced they had a special announcement after the finale aired but after all the backlash a blu-ray release was announced instead. After some time MCH still felt there was more story to tell and of course Showtime and the showrunners were all for it and ultimately abandoned the Harrison spin-off for Resurrection and Original Sin.
Tom you are not ready with how good its about to get so hyped your almost caught up and that you’ll be able to enjoy Resurrection S2 with the rest of us

I love Detective Batista, and I love Detective Wallace! Another amazing character! I alwaya thought it was Angela's friend Iris in the picture with her (from when they were younger). Let me know if I'm wrong, somebody!
The explanation for the end of New Blood is very shaky and frankly pretty weak but they did write themselves into a corner as New Blood was supposed to be the end.

Angela said "we're" even cause Dexter found and stopped Kurt Caldwell.
Its Iris in the picture and Angela wanted to let go Dexter after seeing what a monster Kurt was. Because Dexter got and killed him i guess she says i leave u now we are even. Its a bit stretch but writers had to find something to resurrect Dexter
Never made sense to me why Angela would cover up Dexter killing the coach/cop. A completely innocent person.
I agree it’s a stretch but it’s not completely inconceivable given how many women Kurt killed and how much solving their cases meant to her and she learned what happened to Iris. I imagine it’s a decision that haunts her and she feels guilty about but it was the cleanest solution. Also he’s alive because of her. It’s never explicitly stated but only Angela could have gotten him to the hospital in time. Did she do it to see him pay for his crimes or because she couldn’t let him die? Again it’s a stretch and the only weak part of a very well written series.

As much as Tom appears very moral, I don't get how he's not grossed out by gore. I envy that.

The reason Resurrection came to fruition was because of how much fans disliked New Blood lol. That’s why Dexter “comes back to life” & why they explain away what happened with Angela/Logan. Outside of this though, this is a really fun season! Hope you enjoy it :)
Actually it was Michael C. Hall. During the NYCC yesterday, the showrunner said, Michael called him after a while and said, is there any way we can undead Dexter? And Michael said he just had problems letting go of the character, since he was after the first season or so heavily included in the writing and production of the show.

Resurrection is an all timer. I’m so hyped for this one
