My theory on why podcaster doesn’t recognize him is she completed her series on serial killers a while ago, 3-5 years at least and has moved on, doesn’t remember. Plus he doesn’t look the same and has aged.
Deb is only in dexters brain and imagination. So all her interactions with him is how he imagines she would be doing and saying. Wow, does he have such guilt about her

I hate Dexter's little smile at the end when he finds the straight razor. Its not in character at all. He spent 5 years after Harrison was born worrying that Harrison MIGHT be like him. He never WANTED him to be!
I just think he's conflicted. He obviously jumps at any opportunity to relate to someone who shares his darkness, and who closer than your flesh and blood? Rational Dexter obviously wants to avoid letting Harrison in on it, but I think the Dark Passenger always craves a partner.
Fun fact! Emergency Alerts can still make your phone go off even when it’s completely silenced. Apparently, it’s how quite a few people have discovered their partner has a secret second phone. Imagine getting caught cheating by an Emergency Alert! 💀🤣🚨
