New blood is ok Resserecution is peak. One of the best seasons, maybe my fav so far. Up there with seasons 1, 2, 4 The villains are great. The characters they bring back are great, and the new ones fit in really well Michael C. Hall Peter Dinklage Uma Thurman James Remar as Harry is back Neil Patrick Harris Krysten Ritter Eric Stonestreet David Dastmalchian Amazing cast

I forget if it's New Blood or Resurrection, but one of the 2 got an award for the music all season. And rewatching this for the second time here, just makes me agree

Its clearly that Deb is the manifastation of his Fear he felt as she died because he couldnt just let go. I think its just like a blokade for him

I absolutely adore the snow and cool color palette of New Blood. Season 8 of Dexter wrapped in 2013 and that original series was always contemporary to the year it was filmed/aired. New Blood picks up at the end of 2021. However, they fudged the timeline a bit as New Blood is supposed to be 10 years after the events of the original series. To me Dexter's hair makes him very different here.

One thing to keep in mind while watching New blood is this season was originally suppose to be a limited revival. One and done season just to fix Dexters original ending.

I knew that deer would die at some point, but they really did choose the most gut wrenching moment for it 😩 interesting how animals are responding to Dexter/Jim now, back in the early seasons of the original he talked about how animals don't like him - especially dogs 😯

So Deb is his subconscious now, I guess he was terrified because he does believe that everyone around him dies 🤔 which is kind of accurate but I'm so glad he went back for Harrison anyway 😭

I love how you've come around on Deb :) she's my favorite thing about this spin-off series. And Harrison is a treasure too!

Honestly the Dexter Finale screwed up so bad in every way possible I put it as the worst episode of TV ever. Hannah survives, Dexter does a whirlwind, Deb dies, Saxon gets a mediocre death (worst villain death since skinner), and Dex abandoning Harrison.

I followed MCH doing other things so I wasn't as shocked at his appearance. To me he never ages but they styled his hair so dorky and that is off putting for sure. This was filmed during covid with everyone wearing masks. Must have been really difficult to do

Fun Fact: The Truck driver in the first scene at the gas station is the actor Erik King, who played James Dokes in the first show ^^ You can recognize him by his voice, his most famous line in the first show is "Surprise Mfer" ^^

The lack of Dexter 's narration at the beginning always unnerves me.

I remember the hype for this and the new age of Dexter-mania just took off from there!

Based on clues throughout the show, I learned that the fictional lake and town this show takes place in would actually be around 2-3 hours away from where I live. These kind of towns are littered all over Upstate/Western NY. It's crazy how this show captures it. These towns all manage to somehow be exactly the same, but have that unique "coziness" that feels like you can only find it in THAT small town.

LES GOOOO honestly i hate the dei narrative of these new shows, straight propaganda but only for this season…but eh lets not get political. Dexter is still la passion.
