I think what they did in regards to The Front Man is that they simply didn't assign anyone the #001, and just hoped that none of the players would notice that no one was wearing #001 (and that no one would count how many people there were before the 1st game, finding out they're short one player in the process) once The Front Man finally slipped in with the group.

In-ho never participated in Red Light Green Light, so it was him in the Front Man mask watching the game. He joined the group in time for the voting.

You’re absolutely right, the reason he didn’t get on that plane is because he is tired of the little man being crushed by the elite. He saw the game and knew he couldn’t live with the information without doing everything to stop it Plus ngl man has to have a grudge against the game It’s my favorite thing about this show. 456's friend was in season 1, he was the guy Gi-Hun asked if he could borrow him some money or give him a job when he returns home from the the Squid game vote, in which his wife came in and denied him.
