Peaky Blinders Season 1 Episode 1 (MYSTERY WEEK 2026 #3)

Please continue this it’s so good

I’m so happy he likes the show this show is my personal top 3

Before going into this show you got to understand something for the first couple seasons. If you didn’t serve back then and were able to, they looked down upon you or if you weren’t in the mud like Tommy was you won’t get too much real respect

oh man this was my favorite mystery week show so far. this is Definitely a keeper!

YEEEEEEEEAAAH LETS GOOOOOOO

I knew you would love this show because of its Breaking Bad-ness. Tommy is much more stoic and cunning than Walt. It's also similar to BB in the sense that every season gets bigger and better and higher stakes

🩵🩵🩵 Peaky Blinders. Tommy Shelby wicked smart.

LOVE THIS SHOW

They say that the experience that soldiers had in WW1 was the most horrific out of all the major wars. The trenches, the constant artillery fire, the knowledge that you could die at any moment - and probably would, seeing your actual family members/friends/neighbours die around you. In WW1 the British had "pals battalions" which were units made up of whole towns and villages, fathers and sons, uncles and brothers, best friends - many of those places suffered immensely when the vast majority of their young working age men never returned home. Entire families were essentially erased. Over a million died in Flanders Fields, with the bloodiest peaks reaching a death toll of around 5000-6000 soldiers per day 💔

Did you spot that Tommy got the King's Medal for Gallantry during WW1?

Praying you'll continue this one cause I never got to finish it!!! 🙏

I still want Six Feet Under but fallout is really good and peaky blinders is also really good 😊

I used to pray for times like this

Still four more chances for something I'd prefer, the beauty of Mystery Week. Really hoping I like at least one pick from this week even if it isn't one of my 4 choices. We'll see, fingers crossed.

Yesssss! This is such a great show Tom!! I think you’ll love it! 😁

YES. I was hoping you'd get to this one. I'm not sure if everyone will vote for it, so if you want to finish this you may have to do a Sopranos override. But thanks for at least giving us one episode!

This show is so good, you're spot-on with the breaking bad comparison. Also, if you keep watching this, some historical context (no spoilers): The show mentions it taking place in 1919, and the 'Great War' (World War I) ended in November 1918. The 'guns' Danny mentions 'blowing god out of his head' are the heavy artillery that was omnipresent on the Western Front in the trenches in France. They called what we know as PTSD 'Shell Shock' back then as as a result (though I wouldn't be surprised if you already knew that), that's where it started to become a mainstream issue due to WW1 being unlike any previous war in terms of the industrialized nature of the conflict combined with the massive static trench systems. Also when Freddie (The communist) says him and Tommy will be on the same side again, he's referring to how they both served together in WW1. The British Government enlisted men from the same community into the same unit or battalion (known as Pals Battalions), which meant that if a unit was wiped out in an engagement, an entire neighborhood or community would lose all of its young men from a generation instantly. This practice was ended after a few years for obvious reasons, but it's why the men in the show all talk about serving *together*; They literally served in the same units at the same time at the same places.

Pesky Blinders is on my list so this gets me to stop procrastinating and watch it with you! lol. Or at least get a taste of it

Sad it's not LOST or Barry but still 4 more chances this week *fingers crossed* However, I am Interested in checking this first episode out cause I've never seen peaky Blinders before.

This seems like Tom's favorite so far this week, wouldn't be surprised if this wins the vote

I'd be willing to watch this show since Tom seems to like it and because Cillian Murphy is the lead actor and he's a great actor.

Aww man Sam Neill is in this? ;A; I missed his name in the opening credits (when back and rewatched lol) so it was a surprise to see him

Tom really would love this show!

Hope the Show will Stick it is just the Perfect Show for this Channel. addiction trauma relationships etc

This show is fire

If Game of Thrones is one of these mystery shows im gonna be so happy

I recall trying this out when it first aired and I couldn't get into it, even tho I love Cillian Murphy as an actor. But that was over 6 years ago, guess I will give it another try!

Yesss! Hopefully this one continues on. It's a beautiful show

I couldn't get into this show either

Ugh I hate this show. No thanks. Will stick to TWD

I LOVE Mystery Week. I always wanted to watch Peeky Blinders. Cillian Murphy is one of the greatest of all time, so glad I first saw him in 28 Days Later when it first hit theaters, went to see it three times back then. For me it all culminated and peeked with Oppenheimer, watching that movie made me fall in love with movies all over again after years of ignoring most of 'em because life got busy and heavy. Then Cillian winning the Oscar was a great validation for me liking the movie as much as I did and his role in it.

Also shout out Nick Cave. Phenomenal music artist. If yall like red right hand check out his other music.

Tommy was smoking opium, old school heroin

Peaky Peaky!

Yessss let’s goooooooo

LOVE this show. Be great to see you watch it!

YES!

Aww rats I couldn’t get into this show

YESSS. Mystery week is the best time. Peaky Fookin Blindas!

Glad people who wanted this are getting it. 🖤 May not be my cup of tea but that's the beauty of this channel. Variety.
