Heartstopper Open Casting Call!
Hello everyone! I'm sure many of you will have already seen these, but I wanted to post here too:
Did you hear?? We have launched OPEN CASTING for the Heartstopper Netflix adaptation!! We’re looking for our Charlie, Tao, Elle, Darcy, and Isaac, and will also be keeping an eye out for Tori, Harry, and Ben 👀🎬 (Nick and Tara are in advanced casting stages already)

We in the production team and casting team are super excited but also super nervous about finding our dream cast. We don’t have long to find them! Please spread the word if you can, especially if you know anyone who might be interested in being a part of the Heartstopper world. We know our Heartstopper gang are out there!!! 🍂🐶💕

I’ve literally been reading heart stopper since high school I so wish I lived in the uk so I could audition being in this show would be a dream
I wish I could audition. I've been doing theatre since I was in diapers, and I adore this comic. But I live in the US. It would be a dream being a part of this project with you guys, but I know it will still be an absolute joy just watching it.
hey alice, also i am very interested in how long is the actual show going to be. Is it going to be just about the first comic or will it include all of them ? I and i am olso very interested if is the series going to include everythink about Charlies mental health. I would personally love to see that, but now when i am thinking about it i am not quite sure if it will be even posible to include all of the 4 books into one series. So i am just asking. Thanks if you responce.
I'm honestly not allowed to say specifics of what will be in the show, I'm so sorry!! But I can tell you that it will be a very faithful adaptation, and we are hoping that there will be more than one season! :)
sigh, ii know that i am from Europe, i am too young and i wouldn´t get the role anyway but it still break my heart.
Will Isaac be demi (or ace) as well or no?? I'm just wondering if we'll get any ace spec representation because that sexuality always seems so ignored and it makes me sad lol I'm hoping this goes well so maybe we can get a radio silence adaptation some day! 💕 Excited for this!!

OMG I wish I was 16 again! That's so exciting, good luck with the casting! BTW is this gonna be like Skins with totally new to the camera young talents or will there be any known actors /actresses in the show? Although it's in a totally different category I loved Skins esp big fan of Season 2. It gave us so many good actors/actresses like Daniel Kaluuya and Kaya Scodelario so I hope this also happens for Heartstopper, but if you also have a choice to cast well-known faces, may I just say that I think Asa Butterfield would make a great Charlie although he's slightly older, just my 2 cents... ❤️
So far we’ve been mostly focused on actors who’ve had little/no experience! There really aren’t many ‘famous’ teen actors in the U.K., to be honest. Asa Butterfield is great but too old for what we’re looking for!

I have a dumb question! Is this a live-action show, or animated? I thought it was animated, with voice actors, which case why an age requirement? I'm often surprised when I learn the ages in anime or cartoons... the voice is very versatile!

Isaac? Have I been missing a main character? Also isnt Aled Tao and Charlies Bestie?
Pasting what I've said on my other social media: I decided not to include Aled in the TV series. I know this will disappoint some of you, and I'm so sorry for that, but I did not feel I could give Aled a truly satisfying, complex storyline in the show while having to totally ignore the events of RADIO SILENCE. To include Aled in the Heartstopper show and give him a satisfying storyline would almost certainly involve having to change and/or ignore major elements of the story of RADIO SILENCE, which is not what I or any of you want, I hope! In his place, we have Isaac. He’s still Charlie, Tao, and Elle's friend, but Isaac is not the same person as Aled - they are quite different, and I hope that Isaac will be able to go on his own unique journey in the Heartstopper show!
Will extras be found in the same way?
We're honestly not sure how we're going to cast extras yet!
