A new Patreon goal!
Hey gang!
So I haven't set a new Patreon goal for a long while - not since the $2000 goal. I think that's because firstly I wasn't sure what else I could offer, and secondly, I didn't think the amount would keep rising that much! And yet here we are.
THANK YOU so much everyone for your support - I'm still blown away every day just how many of you have chosen to support me making my beloved comic!
So I've finally thought of a good goal for us! I've been thinking about it for a while, and I'd really like to hire an artist or two to draw a couple of short Heartstopper mini-comics.
I've been a bit nervous about this, as I don't have many friends who are artists (and I'm not sure I'd feel confident asking people directly anyway haha!) but I think it could be really fun for everyone. I'd probably just put out a tweet or a Tumblr post asking for people to link me their portfolios if they're interested. And obviously it'd be paid - I'd be using money I earn here on Patreon to pay artists a decent amount for their time and skill.
I've set the goal quite close - $2750! Not sure whether we'll meet that before we reach the next month and the amount dips back down again, but whenever we meet that, I'll start reaching out to artists!
I really hope you like this idea :D Thanks again for your support, everyone!

It's funny, I was thinking of something similar for your heartstopper bonus, not a mini-comic but illustrations of your characters by other artists :3 So I think it's a lovely idea!
That's an awesome idea!! And such a great way to support other artists!! :)
Aaaah! That's an awesome idea!!! I pretty excited for you to reach that new goal ^^ (I will probably send a portfolio too when you reach it haha *shy* )
YAY this is exciting :D
What a great idea! I would love to be a part of this and make a comic, shall I send a portfolio?
YAY! No need yet! Once we meet the goal, I'll put out another post on Tumblr/Twitter/Patreon asking people to send their portfolios if they're interested :D
Wonderful idea!
Sounds awesome
