Oh, wow, Alice! I love this so much!! There is such a pure, lovely celestial vibe coming from the colors and stars and the way that Aled and Frances could be floating or falling or rising, but it's all okay because they have each other and their chosen family with them. My favorite part is the hot pink super cool headphone wires...they remind me of the invisible thread that connects soulmates (you know, those people who somehow enter your life precisely when you needed them most, and just BELONG)...this pink thread is continuous with no breaks...(and the pink color makes me feel all of the independence and growth and "this is me!" that Aled's pink hair color represented). I love how they hold each other's arms (not too close, not too far, but just right to let each other know they are always a reach away), and their wide, happy eyes feel like hope and promise and the future...an anything is possible future! The 10 years! glow from Universe City is sublime, too. I hope you have an amazing time at your talk this weekend, and am so happy for the readers who get to go. Enjoy it all...I am going to sit here and think about how happy this artwork makes me, knowing they are GOOD!
