Just a moment to focus on the art Alice has created in the announcement. Charlie is so, so very beautiful with those gorgeous eyes that must light Nick's heart on fire every time he sees him. Charlie knows Nick's love language is physical touch and his hand is on Nick's face, always. He is also sitting on Nick's lap a la photo booth. As RCM would say - even their hair is making out in the first photo. The best part for our ever blushing boys is the one leaf. It may be the last leaf but I prefer to think of it symbolizing Nick and Charlie as one - NickandCharlie 🥰💖

Alice, I was so excited when I read the news at 4 AM this morning and I'm not even tired ! I flapped my arms and everything! I was looking back at your Tumblr today, and it was SO incredibly obvious you had put in so much effort to make this happen. You did indeed keep fighting and won. For me, so far, Volume 6 has been my absolute favorite. I so relate to Nick and the struggles he is facing. Of course, Charlie will always be so special to me. However, I am SO much like Nick and definitely overthink and have learned to put in the effort to talk it out with my people, even if I don't know all the answers. And of course, I would have loved season 4, but Nick's story, along with all the amazing things Charlie is doing, and their story together, needs to be told on screen by Kit and Joe. I'm sure your script is amazing, and I can't wait to see the movie! April 22 WILL always be famous. Congratulations!

Alice, I love how each iteration of Heartstopper offers something new, not only for your fans, but also for you as an artist. Season one brought the graphic novel sensibility to television (through it's use of panels and animations), season two expanded Nick and Charlie's world through beautiful exposition of multiple characters and stories, season three delved into the most serious subject matter (from Charlie's ED to Elle's experience with transphobia to Isaac's coming out), and experimented with a new storytelling structure in episode four (creating the most powerful Heartstopper episode to date). Given what you've already accomplished in the episodic format, I am excited to see how you and the team translate the material to a new genre. I've spent today thinking about the challenges and opportunities of this new form of storytelling, and look forward to hearing all of your thoughts on the process once it is complete and you can share. In the meantime, I am confident that the result will be beyond anything I could imagine. The next few months will be so busy for you, but I hope when you are on set this summer you also take some moments to just enjoy the people, the experience, the gift of this goodbye. If there’s one thing that could be confirmed above anything else, it should be the length of the movie. People are literally having meltdowns over the movie not being long enough, or everything being rushed without any knowledge of the details. It’s incredibly frustrating and annoying. I’m sure whatever the length of the movie is, it’s going to be a fantastic. But my God, people need to calm their tits, and just enjoy this wonderful news! More Heartstopper! More Nick and Charlie! More Kit and Joe! A proper ending! Everything else is just details.

Wait is there a movie instead of season 4 or season 4 and a movie ?? Eitherway i am soooooo happy and excited 😊 🍂

Whilst I'm also disappointed we're not getting a full series, it's worth remembering that: S1 was 3 chapters or 2 volumes plus the sports dsy stuff that wasn't in the comics S2 was 1 chapter and 1 vol but with QUITE a lot of not-in-the-comic material (I'd say at least 3 episodes worth including all the events after Paris trip which is where ch4 ends). Oh and also the Spring-Nelson dinner which came from Ch 6. S3 was again 3 chapters, 2 volumes* plus an episode for the This Winter Novella. So fitting Vol 6 into film-length isn't *that* bad even if it will be the longest volume. Let's hope the run time is as long as possible!

Let's CELEBRATE indeed! 2025 has been quite a shit year so far for the queer (and especially our trans) community, and I've longed for something positive and encouraging to look forward to...and what better than the news of a Heartstopper MOVIE, shared on the three year anniversary of their very first tv "HI!" Thanks to your vision, your constant involvement, and your loving work, Alice, Heartstopper has managed (in only 3 years with the show!) to bring representation and validity to all sexualities and genders (I mean, Charlie and Nick and Elle and Darcy and Isaac and more to come with Tori (and others) too!), to help teens (and adults!) come out to their families (thank you Nick and Sarah for the coming out scene), to show how beautiful and caring both romantic and friendship love can be (and how consent is critical!)...Heartstopper has shown how mental illness is NOT something to be faced alone, that there is always HOPE out there, even in the darker times. It has also launched the careers of our amazing cast (and I love that Kit and Joe are NOW getting to be Executive Producers, too!), and it's had other well known actors beg to be part of it because they too believe in the Heartstopper message of love and hope (I see you Jonathan Bailey!)...and the music, oh my word, I cannot even get into that part with all the perfect songs placed at the perfect times or we will be here all day...and who knew that just listening to Adiescar Chase's Soundtracks could take us back to an exact moment in the show...beautiful. Somehow, despite how BIG this has all gotten, Heartstopper still manages to bring this deep, personal, emotional intimacy and sense of connection to each of us within the fandom, touching us individually on so many levels and ages and stages...it has literally changed lives, it has healed families, it continually brings this needed COMFORT and CONFIDENCE and HOPE that is QUEER JOY to us...so yea, I am joyfully CELEBRATING that Heartstopper gets the ending it deserves. I'm so happy, and Alice, I know you have to focus on so many details along with the maintaining the overall perspective and story (and I can only imagine all the work you put in to do that), but, I hope for a few minutes today before your holiday wraps up, that you can just pause, and breathe it in, soaking in the fact that YOU DID THIS...you created HEARTSTOPPER, you kept true to your dream and work, and you shared it with all of us...I hope you can see how you have made a massive difference to so many by "believing in romance" and friendship and HOPEFULNESS ...showing us it all exists on both good days and on hard days. I'm so glad, even with some of the shit being thrown at us this year, that we also live in a world where Heartstopper exists. Thank you, Alice, and fuck yea! We are getting a MOVIE!
