📊 Poll: What should I invest more effort into?
I've been worrying a lot about how little reception Mineheart Abyss has been getting. I think I might be wasting my time with this project despite how much effort I'm putting into it. Plus it would need to be SFW for Steam since I can't trust putting my 18+ games on there any more. I want to hear what you guys think would be best going forward. I'll be reading every comment so let me know what's up!

I haven't had the chance to try Minehart yet, but I've quite enjoyed SPAC. On the topic of making Minehart SFW for Steam, couldn't you just make an NSFW patch for it? That's what HuniePop did for the longest time and it was fine on Steam.
I would throw so much money at you if you made something like Free Cardware by LewdTheMoon. You have the skills.
STRIP is fun in the nsfw realm and it fits the game nicely, and mineheart it feels like another mining game with misplaced brief moments of it. I don’t think mineheart is fully reaching its potential. If it had encounters or some other game mechanic to it perhaps it’ll be something great. Maybe some ore piles were mimics that would engage when struck, And she would have to time attack to release or lose materials? Just an idea to help give it some more interaction. A risk/reward system could help tremendously
I've been trying to figure out the balancing for it, it definitely needs something else to help. My initial thought is a more drastic genre change: either allow the player to move Sapphire directly and turn it into an adventure game or add even more scaling to lean heavier into incremental/clicker mechanics. I'm open to discussing it more with you and everyone so we can find the place where Mineheart belongs. I'm tempted to make it less adult since it already feels forced. I can put it on my SFW Patreon and here as well.
I feel like this probably came up before (apologies if I'm retreading old ground) but I've seen games that make SFW Steam releases, then make a free/very cheap NSFW mod and release it on their site with instructions on how to install it(I think the game Mahou Arms did this). Can you do something like that? It might drum up support if people knew NSFW was an option, you just had to do a little file work yourself first.
I've considered it but I really don't like the risk of anything on Steam being so fragile. 18,000 wishlists from STRIP Cards 1 were lost and no way to appeal it to get it back. Feeling kinda lost right now.
Personally I enjoyed STRIP 1 a lot and Mineheart seems promising, I've been holding off on checking it out because I'm on a tight budget and the game isn't finished yet. But I really am looking forward to seeing how the game turns out! Of course I'm also excited for the STRIP sequel, but I think it's important to work on what you have passion for too.
