Big Update Coming to Mineheart Abyss This Weekend! (Update: Next Weekend [5/3/26])

I found a ton more bugs while testing so I need another week to iron those out. Also adding a few more cosmetics and features into the game this week so we have a nice and tidy update rather than a mess of one. Thanks for understanding! You can comment any questions and I'll respond to them asap!

Thanks for your patience! I've been cooking up a big update this month, and I'm planning to release it this weekend!

A lot of work has been done to make sure the game can be modified and updated as efficiently as possible. Lots of behind the scenes enhancements involving the save/load features and inventory, as well as Map navigation and Floor navigation. We're so close to the itch.io launch and I want to make sure there's no bugs left in the first few Floors, as well as making new players feel comfortable with added UI elements to alert players to new features and keep them engaged. We have Cooking, Smelting, Panning for Gold, Mining, and new to this update, Dating! The Dating feature is still very new so it will be limited to several features for now, but in the next few updates it will be one of the core mechanics to engage in~!

Another major feature is Voice Acting! I've gotten all the voice lines for Sapphire, Lumi, Tippy, and Holly! The previous cutscenes will have voices added to each of them, as well as all the interactable features and Dating voice lines. I'm very happy with all the voice lines and I'm excited to let you hear them this weekend!

The Mushroom Forest also has a new paint job and a new gameplay mechanic involving the different colored mushrooms! Match 3 of the same color in a row, or 3 Unique colors, and you'll get a bonus for your mining for a short while. You can also Repair your Pickaxe if you get too many spores attached to it slowing you down, and you'll collect those spores in order to combine them into full-sized mushrooms!

We also have started the cosmetics (as well as the 18+ cosmetics) for each of the girls, and this is just the start! More outfits and hats are planned to be unlocked as we add more updates.

This update has taken a bit longer than I anticipated, but it's definitely cementing its roots so that we have as smooth as a launch as possible! I'd hate for new players to get confused by bugs that they couldn't do anything about. Wait a few more days and we'll have v2.5 in your hands!
