Four New Spells Hit Challenger: Poison, Spotlight, Double Time & Half Time

Challenger just got meaner, and a little more merciful. Four new spells are live, and two of them will make you pick a side at level 2.

☠️ Poison (level 5)

The slow burn. Each cast drips +1% tempo onto your target every 10 seconds for a full two minutes, and it stacks. One poison is a tickle. A patient poisoner layering cast after cast turns a target into a ticking clock they can't shake off. Cheap, short cooldown, and every tick is permanent. Death by a thousand strokes.

🔦 Spotlight (level 7)

Pick a player. Now everyone in the room is forced to target them for 10 seconds. All of that attention, every attack, every debuff, funneled onto one poor soul while you watch. Save it for the survivor who thinks they've gone unnoticed, or the rival sitting one bad hit from the edge. There's nowhere to hide under the spotlight.

2️⃣ Double Time (level 2)

The gamble. Double your target's tempo for 10 seconds... and your own. Cast it while you're cool and collected against someone already worked up, and you shove them straight into the danger zone while you barely feel it. Misjudge it, and you've doomed you both. High risk, high reward.

🐢 Half Time (level 2)

The mercy you have to share. Slow your own tempo by 40% for 15 seconds, but here's the catch: you must gift an even bigger slowdown (60%) to an enemy of your choice. Relief always comes at the price of helping someone else survive. Choose your charity wisely. It's also the closest thing to an answer when someone Double Times you.

Happy stroking ♥
