Challenger Multiplayer Feedback
Hey patrons, now that the multiplayer game Challenger has been out for a few weeks. I’d love to hear some feedback on features that you would love to see me work on next.
This could include new spells, modifications to existing ones, balance changes, or an entirely new gameplay mechanism.
Feel free to leave a comment below, and I’ll do my best to respond to all of them

Allow more ways to edge and more commands to force others like squeeze balls, tip only etc. Maybe add more spells that reduce your own speed momentarily and that you can use more often at the cost of offense. I think you should be able to taunt players so they automatically target you for a certain period of time so it doesn't feel like you get no attention or full attention. Maybe have a spell where you cannot be target for 30s from any player. game is good but tuning so it doesn't feel all or nothing is needed Also remove being able to get silenced over and over. Very frustrating when you can easily keep going but you're forced to lose by silence spam
I've implemented most of your feedback, thank you! There is a new punishment spell, half-time, and double-time spells that you might enjoy.
I have an idea, Your fapinstructor page is amazing and one of the best way to fap however you like. Its been on my mind for some time but im not sure it would be related to "fapping". My idea: I would love to have anal/oral instructions including a dildo. So following each beat means one thrust into your ass or mouth. The depth abd speed of the thrusts are different thoughout the game. Example for punishments: Anal - Quickly ram it all the way in and hold it, Take it out and kiss it Oral- hold a deepthroat for 15 seconds, Slap your face with the dildo, Super fast/deep facefuck for 10 seconds. Etc etc. Iwould love this.
This is one thing I've wanted to implement for sometime now. This would also open it up to a more female audience as well.
Love the game, excited to see it improve! I have a bunch of thoughts, but I think they all come back to one idea: I'd like to see the game do more to help players inhabit the fantasy. Right now, multiplayer can feel arbitrary. I’m one of six players, I can target any of the other five, and they can target me. But there often isn't much reason for me to care about one particular player, or for anyone to care about me. You can go surprisingly long stretches thinking, basically, notice me, senpai! while everyone does their own thing. So, a few ideas: 1. Give players reasons to care about specific players I think dynamic roles and relationships could help a lot with this. Maybe someone temporarily becomes the submissive “center of attention,” giving everyone bonuses for targeting them, or even making them the only valid target for certain things. Someone becomes the dominant and gets rewarded for aggression. Someone can play a support/cuck role that empowers another player. A gimp/bodyguard could intercept attacks aimed at their dominant. There could also be relationships that emerge naturally during the match. Whoever has attacked me most becomes my nemesis, unlocking something I can only use against them. Someone I keep attacking who refuses to reciprocate could become the target of a “notice me senpai” ability. The last person to eliminate someone gets a bounty placed on them. The exact mechanics aren't important; the point is to create little reasons for players to think “YOU. I care about what YOU are doing right now.” 2. Give players a little more identity Related to that, I think there's room for more in-game identity without compromising real-life anonymity, which is obviously important here. Some basic nameplate customization could go a long way: an avatar/emoji, color, unlockable titles, etc. The existing Channeler/Predator/Warden trees could even become part of that visible identity. Maybe some strictly optional/coarse profile information too, with the option to keep it hidden. Basically, let me recognize “that purple Predator with that title” without having the slightest idea who that person actually is. 3. Let the UI react to what's happening The UI could play into all of this too. One thing I already like is being able to select any player and see who they're currently targeting. I'd keep that. I just don't think the player displays need to take up so much space over the media. The normal roster could be smaller and off to the side, while keeping everyone selectable and keeping the targeting information visible. Then, when something important happens, the UI can move things around and draw attention to it. Center of Attention activates? Their nameplate briefly takes center stage, then becomes the biggest player at the top of the roster. New dominant? Maybe they change color and move to the other side. Someone gets a bounty? Give them a distinctive treatment and position until it's resolved. Nemesis established? Visually connect the two players somehow. I'm just throwing examples out, but the principle is: when nothing is happening, get the UI out of the way of the sexy media. When something IS happening, make a spectacle of it. Players moving around, changing appearance, resizing or animating could make the changing dynamics of the room feel a lot more significant without changing the underlying gameplay. 4. Reward risk instead of survival time I think the current objective creates a weird incentive problem. If success is “last as long as possible before cumming,” then optimal play is disengagement. Stimulation is damage. A lot of the existing defensive mechanics reinforce this: stop other players from acting, reflect things, reduce effects, etc. If I'm ruthlessly playing to win, I'm incentivized to make myself as untouchable and boring as possible. I think points could work better than time as the primary measure of success. Give me points for actively doing things while stimulated, with higher stimulation increasing my multiplier. Give me points for successfully inhabiting whatever role I've fallen into. And give me opportunities to score more by taking risks. For example: a spell that gives me double points for 15 seconds, but every spell cast on me during those 15 seconds increases my speed by another 10%. Now I'm voluntarily putting myself in danger because the payoff could be huge—and everyone else suddenly has a reason to pile onto me. A short, chaotic run where I score insanely well could beat someone who safely survives for twenty minutes. The optimal strategy should be flirting with losing, not avoiding the game. 5. Let the media be part of the game There's also some room to make the media itself part of the mechanics instead of mostly being the backdrop. A spell could temporarily blind me and take my media away for ten seconds, distort/invert it, obscure it, etc. And while I absolutely would NOT let players send arbitrary media to each other for extremely obvious reasons, a small developer-curated library could open up some interesting options. A player could, for example, send another player their favorite clip from that library. “Someone chose this for me” feels more personal than another anonymous status effect, while still keeping complete control over what content can appear. None of these particular mechanics are sacred. They're mostly examples of the general direction I'm getting at, and obviously I don't know what's practical to implement. Give players just enough identity, roles, relationships, attention, rivalry and power dynamics that the multiplayer helps sell the fantasy instead of just putting six people in the same room. Someone might not be in a position in real life where they can masturbate in front of six people who are all cheering them on and focusing entirely on them. But the game can give them a little taste of that fantasy! That's the part of Fap Challenger I'd like to see!
Thanks for all the great feedback. I've created a bunch of tickets and plans off of this so its super helpful!
I like the idea, but it seems a bit too fast paced in practice. I think slowing the pace and allowing for chat among players. Also, having spells include punishment would help. Squeeze balls. Insert plug. Etc
I just added a new punish spell that should fall in line with what you are asking for! I do plan on revisiting real chat soon verses the limited prefilled options.
