Progress Report #35
Hey, been a while since I've done an update, just to much to chat about really but there is something I want to address in terms of what's been going on and what the future holds for The Cabin.
I'm gonna start by saying that payments for December are going to be paused, it doesn't mean I'm not going to be working, I just feel like I haven't done enough work in November to justify getting paid for it. I've put a lot of time into WTHI this month and normally I split my days up pretty even with the 1st half going to WTHI, break in the middle and then the rest of the night working on The Cabin, that hasn't happened much this month though with WTHI having such a tight deadline to get it out this month, I found myself spending all day working on WTHI pretty much every day this month. I did get a lot of writing done though so that's something at least :P
As for the future of the game, some of you will know that this game was never meant to be super long, I don't plan on milking it to death, I have a story and a plan and I hope to stick to that plan. At first the game was expected to be 10 releases but then I had to start splitting the game up in order to get a release out in a timely mannor. I plan on having the game finished in 2022 although if I have months like this month then that might not happen either :P so to be safe, I'll say 2022 or before the middle of 2023 to be on the safe side.
I've also been talking a lot recently about a 2nd game, I've decided to scrap this for now just because I know I won't be able to work on WTHI and 2 games of my own, so for now we'll be sticking to The Cabin. I will however continue to work on a script for a 2nd game, I've gone through 2 ideas so far but both seem to hit a wall, like 1 idea was for the MC to come into possession of a watch that stops time, but the further I got into the story the more "rapey" the game felt and that's not someting I want to do. Another idea was a game about a depressed MC, something I'm sure we can all relate to, he was going to have a nice older sister but a bitchy younger sister ( most games going for the reverse of that ) but the further I got into it the more it just felt like every other game out there and wasn't unique enough for my taste. There were however certain aspects of both games that I do like and will continue to use, like the Mc coming into possession of something and part of the dression game was the mc lived in the attic and had a telescope that he could spy on the neighbours with, still kinda like that idea :P
Anyway, I'm rambling again :)

Durp... Nevermind. I love that game!
Can someone tell me what WTHI is? I feel like I'm really missing out.
Cell, the great thing is that you're thinking like a pro. Just keep doing what feels right and it will be good. It wasn't until recently that I realized what a marvelous game WTHI has become and you're a big part of that. Keep up the good work on The Cabin and make a name for your brand. Good luck.
Cheers :D I love what WTHI has become to, even before I joined it was a top tier game and really didn't think I'd get on the team but Cheeky seemed to like me and now I can't imagine not working with him and Ace :P
