Given everything that’s going on in the world, it’s hard to explain why they would opt for this guest right now. Chapo’s been spoiled with great foreign correspondents in the past, and a Spain or Poland episode would be topical. Australia has been a fulcrum in American anti-China policies from the TPP to the submarine deal, so it would be best served by an historian and not a journalist. Or influencer, whatever the case may be.
