I love it when the show interviews local organizers (e.g. Mina). I'm involved with a tenants organizing group in my area so I personally know organizers like Mina as well as working class people who have organized (and organizing...) their buildings and won rent strikes (and actively fighting their landlord). It's totally changed the way I see the world and how I interact with people. The more we can share with each other how to organize - be it on housing, LGBT issues, labor, environment, etc. - the better we'll get at it. And hopefully more people will participate in whatever movement is particularly important in their community. Keep these type of interviews coming! And thanks for sharing your experiences, Mina!

Are you referring to Cranberry as the most important city? Because if so I don't know that it qualifies since it's more of a parasitic suburban outgrowth of the North Hills. Butler is still by and large the most populous and most important city in Butler County and its politics are definitely representive of the deep-red attitudes of its residents, even if its urban demogrpahics are shifting a bit and the urban demographic is becoming slightly younger due to some Pittsburgh transplants. The real irony of the discussion around Butler that's happening to me is that this shooting did not even happen in the city of Butler at all, but in the outskirts of the census designated place of Meridian which is just on the other side of the border with Connoquenessing Township. Not that this detail really matters in the grand scheme of things but to locals I think it feels a bit weird to have this event immortalized as happening "in Butler.l
