Calling the future
Dear Patrons,
I haven't posted in such a long time, and there were many reasons for that. I won't write about that right now; instead, I'll tell you where we stand.
Daz has released a new studio version, and I have upgraded my hardware. Unfortunately, I got into aa situation in which the rendering server, Studio and the hardware had no common ground, I have been facing serious incompatibilities. I gave up at some point.
Instead of fighting with my setup I've learned to use AI.
Right now, I'm working on combining AI with what I've been good at so far. I don't think that, at its current level of maturity, AI is capable of replacing art. The subtleties, the small details, and the execution of the script are still not its strong suits.
But it would be foolish not to use it if it adds features to existing works and future rendered graphics that Daz's technology wouldn't be capable of handling.
The result isn't perfect; minor details and subtle nuances can cause discrepancies. A facial feature, eye color, or skin tone... may be inconsistent to a certain extent.
Meanwhile, the Daz environment has also been partially restored, but unfortunately, the new software doesn't support some important plugins that I use.
I'm planning to start featuring videos and clips on the site from now on. First, I want to bring some existing sets—or parts of them—to life.
But of course there will be new original content as well; it's just that dealing with the plugins is slowing things down considerably.
I'm currently working on a rather long piece that will be published next week. Expect a several minutes long clip which is featuring a past story. It's a surprise which one, though.
At the same time, I’m lifting the block on payment collection so that Patreon can also generate revenue and my server costs can be partially covered. I expect higher network traffic due to the experimental video player.
Stay tuned! :-)
