Something different straight from the Desk
Hey Folks and Friends,
this is an Video of how I paint a tabletop standard Ultramarine in less than two hours.
An unusual topic for myself but I had a lot of fun doing it and as this Video was also done as a Thank you for our good friend Lars who runs the GW store Berlin II, who helped us out with tons of supplies for our very own Patreon Meetup the "Paint-o-Palooza" here in Berlin.
Without his Support the Fleischwolf Challenge would not have been possible.. :)
So if you have 2 hours for the emperor .. why not paint a spacemaine ;)
Hope you enjoy this Video!

Hi Ben. When you dry-brush on the miniature, do you get texture on it ?
Hi John, you have to be careful that you really wipe of the surplus of the paint from the brush... I also think if you use a brush with soft bristles you leave a little less texture un the surface.. here in this video the drybrushing left a little texture on the blue armour, in the hellblaster video i have used a softer brush and it created a finer, less textured look, even the brush was a lot bigger (flathead size 14).
I feel silly for asking, but since I am a new sub, is the .pdf coming?
Nice, i love to see 40k stuff here. Many Philistines like me are into miniaturepainting because of the grimdarkness of the far future, so this video is much apprechiated! Your red-chaos-armor videos for Paintingbuddha brought me here and made me your proud patreon. I hope i can help you continue doing what you do because it is awsome! Obligatory annoying fanboy request: Do some bloodangels ;D All the best!
:D damn Philistines .. I will see what i can do for you thanks for your support JP
any idea when the corrected video will be online ?
It should be up since yesterday
I’m definitely looking forward to some more table top miniature guides like this. Maybe something like a monthly thing? I use a lot of your techniques in my special commander miniatures, but for pumping out 5-10 guys at a time, a video like this is super helpful.
My thoughts exactly !
Hi guys, first post, this tutorial finally helped make my mind up about signing up to patreon...blown away by how simple this was for such an outstanding result. Followed Ben’s work for a while on YT, but decided it’s time to support him properly. Looking forward to going through his back catalogue now...
Really enjoyed this, thanks! It’s nice to have a practical approach for painting small armies of minis.
Is this a patreon-only video or free to the masses? I noticed this popped up in my YouTube subscriber feed, meaning it's open to the public. Just making sure... =) Awesome speed-painting video from an already amazing fast painter!
Great! It takes me ages to paint something and this video really inspires me :D thats an amazing result for 2 hours indeed.
hay ben, i duno if u listened back to this, but u have 2 layers of audio going on at the same time for parts of the video. maybe it was a mistake in the edit? just thought id let u know sooner than later. Keep on being great man.
Hey Kai, :D its the echo foreshadowing the end of the video .. you are right .. There is one mistake at the beginning of the video .. is there another one?
