GIVEAWAY 📚
Time for another giveaway ahead of next week's mail day -- alongside your copy of The Jaguars Roar, this month you can be in for a chance of winning a copy of The Devils by Joe Abercrombie.
Europe stares into the abyss.
Plague and famine stalk the land, monsters lurk in every shadow and greedy princes care for nothing but their own ambitions. Only one thing is certain: the elves will come again, and they will eat everyone. Sometimes, only the darkest paths lead towards the light. Paths on which the righteous will not dare to tread...
And so, buried beneath the sacred splendour of the Celestial Palace, is the secret Chapel of the Holy Expediency. For its congregation of convicted monsters there are no sins that have not been committed, no lines that will not be crossed, and no mission that cannot be turned into a disastrous bloodbath.
Now the hapless Brother Diaz must somehow bind the worst of the worst to a higher cause: to put a thief on the throne of Troy, and unite the sundered church against the coming apocalypse.
When you’re headed through hell, you need the devils on your side.
To enter, leave a comment on this post and tell me what your favourite fictional city is. From anything! Mine is Beauclair in the Witcher 3 -- I love how alive all of Toussaint feels, from the clear blue skies to the stone monuments to the cobbled streets.
Winner will be announced on the next mail day post next week ✨

Ankh-Morpork or as its nicknamed "the Big Wahoonie", inhabited by humans, dwarfs, trolls, and vampires so i as i live in Birmingham it doesn't feel too dissimilar
Dorne, in GoT, and weirdly Rivendell in Tolkien
New Crobuzon from Perdido Street Station
Brackhampton in the Miss Marple series- she really is a confounding treasure
I think mine has to be Forks from Twilight, purely for nostalgia 🥺
I’ve already got this one so won’t be entering, but good luck everyone!
Ul Qoma from the City and the City by China Miéville
My favourite fictional city has to be crow-on-sea in Penance by Eliza Clark 😍😍
I would love to visit Hamunaptra - the city of the dead from the Mummy (movie)! Omg to be there and finding out gold, scarabs and a cursed mummy !!!
island of loves??? (it’s called ilha dos amores in portuguese) in Lusíadas
Zanarkand - Final Fantasy X ✨
Imardin from Magician's Apprentice (and the rest of the series) for me
I don't know if you'd class it as a city, but the Shire will always have my heart.
Also thats not me entering btw...I already own a copy. Just wanted to share 😂
It's gotta be Ankh-Morpork from the Discworld, you don't know how much time teenage me spent attempting to map it based on all the book locations. It's such an alive city, and filled with so many great street names and places. 'It's as full of life as an old cheese on a hot day, as loud as a curse in a cathedral,... as colourful as a bruise!'
I’ve been coveting this one for a while! Call me old-fashioned but my favourite fictional city is still Lyra’s Oxford - anbaric lamps and daemons. What’s not to love? ☺️
I was always fascinated by Ember from the The City of Ember!
I loved the world building of His Dark Materials
Darujhistan from Malazan Book of the Fallen
As a fan of Stephen King I want to read Joe Abercrombie for a long time 🤞 my favorite fictional city is Castle rock even though I wouldn’t want to live there 😅
