Late August 2026 Modding Updates: Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, Blue Reflection Quartet & More..

Hi Guys,

It's time for another little update on what I've been working on and what's coming next.

There are quite a few things happening behind the scenes right now, so I thought I'd give you a proper update before September arrives.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter

Let's start with the big one.

The full version of Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is coming very soon, and I've actually already started working on the game through the Demo.

A few days ago, I released both SFW and NSFW mods for the Demo, starting with Estelle Bright. More characters will be added later.

So yes, I technically managed to get a little head start this time. 😎
So far the Demo has been a very good environment for testing everything.

The good news is that I expect the mods made for the Demo to carry over to the Full version without any changes. The game structure and assets I've been working with are already giving me a pretty clear picture of how the Full version should work.

This is also one of the reasons why I decided to start modding the Demo instead of waiting for the full release.

From my experience with Trails games, Falcom's games have generally been quite approachable from a modding perspective. Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter appears to continue that trend.

That makes things much easier for me when it comes to developing costume mods.

So for those of you waiting for more Sky 2nd Chapter mods, don't worry.
Estelle is only the beginning. 😉

Blue Reflection Quartet

I've also been working on Blue Reflection Quartet, and I have already released both SFW and NSFW mods for the first Blue Reflection game included in the Quartet collection.

However, I discovered something interesting while testing the mods with the original standalone version of Blue Reflection.

Some of the SFW mods that work with the Quartet version unfortunately caused the original game to crash.

So, yes...

"Can I use this mod with the original Blue Reflection?"

I really wanted the answer to be yes.

Unfortunately, the original game basically answered:
"Nope." 😂

I mentioned in the post's comment that I would eventually make the mods compatible with the original versions as well, and I still intend to do that.

In fact, while testing some of my much older Blue Reflection mods from around 2020, I also discovered that several of them are no longer behaving properly with the original game.

They don't necessarily crash the game, but some of them would cause bugs, glitches, or other problems. Because of that, I am now considering this as a good opportunity to clean things up properly.

My plan is to gradually work on two things:
First, fixing and updating some of my older Blue Reflection mods so they work properly again.

Second, making the newer Blue Reflection Quartet mods compatible with the original Blue Reflection games as well, including Blue Reflection and Blue Reflection: Second Light.

This will take some additional work, but I think it's worth doing.

Koei Tecmo is also still keeping the original Blue Reflection games available for purchase, and that's actually quite useful for anyone who wants access to the complete collection.

Blue Reflection Quartet does not include all of the DLC content from the original releases, so the original games still have their own value for players who want the full experience and get all of their DLC.

So if you're one of the people who asked about using the Quartet mods with the original games, I haven't forgotten about you. 😊

Atelier & Trails Projects

As usual, my Atelier and Trails projects are still moving forward.

There is already a pretty long list of games in the pipeline, so I don't really need to rush into adding random new games just for the sake of having something new.

For the Trails series, the current roadmap still the same as before.

And on the Atelier side, the upcoming Atelier Karia in February 2027 is also part of the long-term plan.

So there is definitely no shortage of work waiting for me. 😅

Looking Ahead

I'm also keeping an eye on a few upcoming JRPGs and other games for the future.

One of them is Persona 4 Revival, which is currently planned for February 2027.

I haven't decided yet whether I'll mod it. That will depend entirely on how moddable the PC version turns out to be once the game is released.

Another game I'm keeping an eye on is Stellar Blade 2: Blood Rain.

Since I've already released some mods for the original Stellar Blade, it would make sense for me to explore the possibility of modding the sequel as well, assuming the game turns out to be moddable and the existing workflow can be adapted to it.

However, I want to make one thing clear about both of these games: they would most likely be additional projects rather than main projects.

My main focus will still be the games that are already part of my established roadmap, especially Atelier, Blue Reflection, and Trails.

So if Persona 4 Revival or Stellar Blade 2 turn out to be particularly mod-friendly, I may work on them alongside my main projects.

For now, I'll simply keep an eye on these releases and see what possibilities they bring.

One More Thing...

September 2026 should be an interesting month.

Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is finally arriving, and since I've already started working on the Demo, I should be able to continue much faster once the Full version is available.

So if you've been waiting for more Trails mods, especially for the characters beyond Estelle, or Blue Reflection Quartet mods with original game's compatibility, there should be plenty more to come.

And... Something new is coming soon, to fill the void that used to exist on TSV's Patreon a few years ago. Just wait for the announcement.. 😊

Thank you to all of you for supporting my work and for continuing to follow my modding projects.

Don't hesitate to send me message on Patreon or Discord DM if you have any question or concerns. Stay tune for next upcoming new mods release.. 😉

Let's have fun together,
