Quest Failed: Chapter Two - Official Announcement

Officially announcing:QuestFailed:ChapterTwo,thecontinuationofthe'QuestFailed'series,followingthemisadventuresofanaspiringadventurerandthevariousmonstergirlsheencountersinhistravels.

Thesecondchapterpicksuprightwherethepreviouschapterleftoff,withMatthavingsuccessfullyrepelledanundeadassaultagainstthecapitalcityofRhan,andbeinggrantedanaudiencewiththequeenwhoseemstopossesssomekindofinterestinhimuponhearingofhisexploits.Thecapitalcityisabigplace,withmanycuriousindividualslurkingbehinditswalls--somefriendly,some...well...notsofriendly.Andwiththeplayerbeinggivenmorefreedomthaneverbeforetoexplorethisnewcity,who can say what kind of trouble young Matt might find himself in now?

Quest Failed: Chapter Two will feature:

-15+ new characters to interact with, along with the return of the original cast
-A wealth of new h-scenes for every character, both old and new
-A sprawling city to explore, filled with optional events to discover
-More freedom with choices, which matter more than ever before!
-Side quests which can taken in any order, or ignored in favour of advancing the main story

So yeah, hi there guys! If you're wondering what this post is, I basically realised that after all the work spent on Chapter Two, I've never really taken the time to officially announce just what it might be exactly beyond the odd teasing of assets or two here and there. So I figured with a good deal of the art done and things progressing at a good pace--now was finally the time to do this kind of, press release style thing.

The unveiling of Chapter Two's banner marks a distinct shift in tone in comparison to that of Chapter One's, and reflects my desire to create a more serious, compelling tale of which I hope you'll all enjoy. I wish to give the story more of a focus this time around--to flesh out the world more and its history and steadily expand the scope of things as you all discover things with Matt together.

Though this doesn't mean it's all going to turn dark and gritty and that Jilly will suddenly be talking with a gruff marine voice as everyone dies around her--all of the sillier and more carefree moments will still be intact within the story still, but this time around I'm aiming for a better and more appropriate balance to better suit the severity of the situation that the characters face.

In addition, given that so many assets are getting made, I'd like to put forward a small, playable segment of Chapter Two in the form of an alpha/beta (how polished it might be will depend on how early I can secure voices/backgrounds etc.) in the coming months or so, to give a better idea of just how this new dynamic of being in the city will work in tandem with the main plot, along with side quests and the like. Think of its length as something like the original Quest Failed demo--a teaser that doesn't give too much away, but still has some fun scenes to it.
