Development update #199 | Chapter 7 | Localization project update
Hello everyone!
This will be a quick update. I want to start with the localization project because it’s important.
Unfortunately, despite good progress in some languages, there are still many languages for which no one has signed up, and some people simply quit or stopped responding to my messages, so progress has stalled.
So far no one has been found for: Czech, Finnish, Georgian, Italian, Japanese, Kazakh, Korean, Lithuanian, Swedish, Ukrainian.
It would also be great to find at least one more editor for: Greek, Hungarian, Latvian, Polish, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Turkish.
If you know one of these languages, please fill out the form on the website. It won’t take much of your time, but it will help me a lot. Thank you.
Now about my progress.
The last couple of weeks have been tough and not very productive, so I don’t have much to share yet. As you can imagine, the extreme heat, ongoing terrorist attacks, sleepless nights, and personal problems have been taking a serious toll on me. That’s why I’ve been a bit off lately. But I’m continuing to work on the art for the next story scene. Last week I also wrote some dialogue and code. This week I’ll publish the polls for wallpapers and special renders. I hope to have more progress to share in a couple of weeks. I’ll do everything possible not to delay development any longer, because winter is going to be very hard, and we expect electricity problems within a few months. If I don’t manage to finish the update before then, it will make my work even more difficult. At that point, it will already be a matter of survival, unfortunately.

MrMoonmi, I was to take part that localisation project, still am actually and of course. Something just went haywire with Discord - I guess - I got the invitation and acted accordingly - or at least I THINK I did, but it's then again quite possible, I screwed up something (I'm actually almost natural talent in it).... Anyway, I cant find you there!?

From what I understand, mr. moonmi has a few months to finish the season; otherwise, he won't be able to do so until next summer, as winters are just about survival 😰. We want things to improve, but unfortunately everything seems to be staying the same. Keep your spirits up, mr. moonmi 🫡!
Thanks for your update, but also for your call for help, mr.moonmi! Of course, any help is welcome when it comes to localizing your great game, but do you have to have so many languages right away? Should you perhaps only provide some of the languages after the release of the game? I think English is now a "universal" language with which almost the whole world can communicate. I am based in Germany, but I would never play NSFW games in German, because the "suggestive" terms in German sound terrible and stupid to my ears. ("Fuck me" or "my pussy" sounds much better than "Fick mich" or "meine Fo***" in German 😉). But of course, that's just my personal opinion, everyone as they like! But enough of that. Much more important for me is the problems you are confronted with. When I read about ongoing terrorist attacks and supply shortages, not to mention personal problems you have to deal with, I can only think of one country here in Europe where you live. And if I'm right, then the support for you and for your country must not stop! And if I remember correctly, this is not the first time that you have reported on attacks on your country, which also extremely hinder you in your work. I hope for you that everything will be fine, that peace and tranquility will finally prevail and of course that you will be well. Thank you for your great job! 🖐👍
Thank you for your words. I appreciate it. As for the translations, it’s actually simpler and more reasonable to integrate as many of them as possible already at release. This way the game will be available in as many languages as possible right away, and it might give a good boost to sales. Especially since it’s not that difficult, the translations have already been made with AI. I just need them to be edited. That’s why I’m asking for help. And even though many people know English, not everyone does, and not always perfectly. So giving people a choice is better than not giving them one at all. But I understand what you mean, though I think it’s more a matter of habit.
