Community localization project for How to Fix the Future | I need YOUR help!
Hello everyone!
I’m launching a community localization project to translate the game into 25 languages, and I need your help.
I’ve prepared translations for the following languages:
The translations were made using the best AI models currently available. They’re quite good and consistent, but still not perfect. That’s why it’s very important for a human to proofread and edit them - to polish the text and make the game enjoyable for players in their native language. Once again, you don’t need to translate anything from scratch. You only need to edit and refine the existing translations for your language.
Anyone can join the project. I’ve prepared a step-by-step guide and recorded a video tutorial that explains the entire process in detail. It’s very simple - anyone can do it.
Everyone who joins the project will also receive rewards and bonuses, such as a special role on the server, credit in the game’s credits, access to the latest version of the game, a Steam key, and a chance to win $100.

I kindly ask anyone who can spare even a little time to help with the translation for your language. Even if you only proofread a couple of files, it will still be a big help - it will improve the quality and accessibility of the game, and speed up development. Of course, the ideal goal is to proofread all the dialogues. This is especially important for less common languages. So if you’re a native speaker of one of these languages, there’s a good chance you’re one of the few people reading this, and your help would be incredibly valuable.

UPD: Applications for the following languages are no longer being accepted: German, French, Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, Spanish, and Latin American Spanish, Hindi.

I am Chinese and I really want to help, but my English is very poor. When I usually chat with people from other countries on the Internet, I need to use translation software to communicate. 😢
It's better than nothing because I have no one for Chinese right now. You can at least check the translations so that it made sense. Fill out the form on site. And I'll contact you on Discord.

Hi mr.moonmi, you've really taken on a big chunk, but I think your game is worth making available to as many players as possible. My mother tongue is German and I could probably help you, but I think you already have enough help for this language. In addition, I always play all the games in English, this language has been with me all my studies and professional life and I love it. But what is really important for me: In (at least) my German ears, the sayings that the protagonists utter in sex scenes sound clumsy and unpleasant in German, while in English they sound much cooler and smoother 😊 (for example: "Lass uns ficken", oh dear, but "let's fuck", that sounds much cooler 😉) I don't know if other German players can understand that, but I feel the same way. Anyway, thank you for your great game, which has long been on my stream wishlist, have a nice week!

It's a very noble task, thank you to all the translators who are helping 😉! My native language is Latin American Spanish, which is already taken as it's a very popular language (3rd in the world overall and 2nd if only native speakers are counted) 😅. The only downside to helping with this is that you'll find out what happens in Chapter 7, a little spoiler, haha 😁👍! I have three questions: 1. Does English not require revision? I mean, is it the only language that hasn't been translated by AI? 2. What happens if two translators disagree on how to translate a dialogue? Some languages have many synonyms, so it's easy to express something in different ways. Does the first translator to join the project win? Do they flip a coin? Or does mr. moonmi choose? 🫠. 3. You know I can be a bit of a troll sometimes in a fun way without meaning to hurt anyone, so I'll ask the question: is there no Russian translation? 🤪. *Sound of someone running away...* 😶🌫️. Good luck with the project, I'll buy it on Steam on day one! 😉👍.
It's better if several people work on one translation, but one of the editors convinced me to keep Spanish and Latin American Spanish to himself. 1. Maybe it does, but I already used AI to polish all dialogues, and it's much more complicated since all translations rely on current English dialogues. So if I change at least one letter in the English dialogue, I'll have to update every translation. Besides, it's harder to convert it to sheets and back to code as English dialogues are written in code directly. While translations are in separate files. 2. That's the most inconvenient thing about my approach. Basically, the latest edited version becomes the final one. I can’t compare different versions, and other editors have no way to vote on which one is better either. I’ll just have to accept that. There is a tool where editors can view all versions and even vote on them, but using it for this many files would cost me thousands of dollars. 3. No, there isn't, never heard of it.
