At this time, discounts can only be redeemed by fans who aren鈥檛 already in an active paid membership with the creator. Discounts apply only to the first billing period: the first month if you choose a monthly subscription or the first year if you select an annual subscription.
I didn't know that when I was setting this offer. I don't know why Patreon did this, this doesn't make sense. But yeah, only people who aren't currently subscribed can use this offer. Which sucks... I guess the only way for active patrons to use this offer is to use another account. Sorry about that.

Damn, this kinda sucks. I'll get the $20 for a month when the next update pops instead then.
But it's like that everywhere, at least the places I go to, the offers are always designed to attract new people 馃榿. We always joke with a friend, loud enough for them to hear, about how we pay the normal gym price when we have been customers for more than 3 years and the discount offers are for people who are just setting foot in the place for the first time 馃槳. And Patreon promotes those people by sending them emails. For example, I got the mr.moonmi promotion sent to my email by Patreon because I am not a paying subscriber, but I NEVER get offers from people I am subscribed to.
Well yeah, but I'd like to decide for myself who I want to offer a discount as a creator. That's what got me mad. I was sure I was doing a discount for everyone. Of course, it's my fault I didn't read carefully their terms article, but still.
The option to put in the code is not popping out for me during checkout when I'm trying to upgrade annually, even after cancelling my current membership and repledging. I'll just try again later. Maybe it just needs time for the price to change or load. Edited I found a Patreon Support Article on Redeeming a membership discount.
