At the edge of the forest on the opposite bank of the river, several small monsters were prowling while wary of us, and a squad member proposed that they cross the river and finish them off.
If Zighart used magic, he might provoke powerful monsters that could be lurking deeper in, and if that happened, weak monsters might flee out of the forest.
They'd been with Zighart too, and they probably made that proposal because they knew he was wary of that.
