"Welcome back."
"Yes, I'm home. ...Are Lady Seria and the others still not back yet?"
I'd gotten back to Seriana's room, but even looking around, there was no one but servants in the room.
There wasn't any sign Seriana had come back, so she was probably still working in the study.
"I don't know how things are in the study, but there's been no word here yet."
As the servants shook their heads and answered that, Teresa asked, "Should I go?"
If it were Teresa, no matter how busy the study was, she could hear from Seriana and come back here regardless of the situation over there, but...
"Teresa, waiting here on standby is part of your job too, right? It's not worth going out of your way to ask."
Of course, I don't feel like going either.
If some kind of emergency had happened, we'd probably get word here too, and since there hasn't been any, it's probably just that she's busy as usual.
After saying that to Teresa, I sprawled out on the sofa.
Today's work was already finished, so I figured I'd just laze around the room for a while.

When I first got back to the room, I was lounging around on the sofa, but thinking it over, I'd been getting plenty of sleep and wasn't actually sleepy.
By the way, Teresa had been reading a book for a little while now.
It wasn't work documents or anything, so it was probably just to kill time.
As I wondered if I should do something too... one task that was just right came to mind.
It was a check of my equipment, starting with my pouch, to send it in for maintenance next time.
When I go outside, I always have 【Wind’s Garment】 activated, so mud and dirt don't come flying at me from outside, but with my pouch and such, I put all sorts of things in and take them out, and dirt gets on it then.
Depending on the circumstances, there might even be invisible fragments of magic tools like Combustion Orb left inside.
It's not like an accident would happen because of that... but the craftsmen at the workshop are professionals when it comes to handling tools, yet amateurs when it comes to magic power and magic tools.
The tools I use now are all ones I'm fond of, and if by some chance one broke unexpectedly and had to be replaced, that'd be a shock.
Anyway, I'll at least give them a light cleaning.
So with that, I brought the tools into the room and decided to start checking them.
First, the pouch.
I spread the tools out on the table and removed the pouch's metal fittings and belt.
"Was there any damage anywhere?"
I'd spread them out in a spot away from Teresa so as not to disturb her reading, but before I knew it she'd moved over across from me.
"Well, as far as I can see, there's no damage anywhere. There was no damage when I checked before this mission either... so I think it's fine, but..."
"This time we were collecting soil in the rain and drawing water from the river, after all. Were there any containers or anything that broke inside?"
"No, those are fine too, but I didn't wipe off the collection containers one by one. I did throw out the trash every day, though..."
I'd also wiped the outside of the pouch while I was at it, but I didn't go so far as to carefully clean the inside each time.
For two weeks... maybe three weeks, I'd left it as is, so I wondered what I'd do if it'd turned into stains or something...
"There might be dirt left inside. I checked during the rainy season too, but... it'd be best to do it once more."
Teresa gave a wry smile and reached for the belt I'd removed from the pouch.
Then, taking the belt, she pulled it left and right with a bit of force, checking whether the threads were frayed or anything.
"Aren't you going to have this one replaced?"
"Hm? It's easy to use and I don't find it inconvenient, so I don't plan to for now... but has something gone wrong with it? Should I switch to a new one?"
Was there something wrong with the belt?
As I tilted my head in confusion, Teresa gave a wry smile and answered, "No."
