While eating lunch, we'd been talking about what new facility we wanted in East Street... and for the time being, the conclusion we reached was, how about relatively cheap housing...?
Well... whether or not we actually prepare that, we'll need to get Liesel's approval, but when it comes to East Street, Seriana's been given quite a bit of discretion.
We'll need to go look around the site directly, and since we're using materials and craftsmen for maintenance in various parts of the city, we can't start construction right away... but since Seriana's decided it's necessary, well... it's pretty much settled.
"If I had the chance, I'd want to see East Street too... but right now it's impossible, right?"
"That's right. If it were normal times, that'd be one thing, but right now there are a lot of people in the city besides residents, after all. As expected, the master would stop Lady Seriana from going out into the city."
Elena answered Seriana's murmur with a wry smile.
"There weren't that many in East Street, but even so, there were adventurers from other places and such. I don't think they'd do anything to Lady Seriana... and I don't think they could lay a hand on her in the first place, but just the possibility of something happening is a big deal, you know."
If Seriana goes outside, I'll be with her too.
With Seriana's blessing and my blessings and boon items, there'd likely be no mishaps in the first place.
But just the thought that something might happen... that's a huge deal for the soldiers in charge of guarding that area.
They're already busy as it is, and it could end up causing extra trouble... and just wanting to see how the city is doing wouldn't be enough for Liesel to give permission.
Seriana seemed to understand that too, and with a "good grief..." she shrugged her shoulders and didn't say anything more.

When the lunch break ended, Seriana and the others returned to the office, but I decided to go back to Seriana's room.
I'd already done a bit of work in the office today, so my work there was finished.
Seriana and the others were there, so it wouldn't have mattered if I'd stayed there a while longer... but I can't help with Seriana's work anyway, after all.
Besides, there's also a reason I should be here, just in case.
"I'm home."
When I returned to the room, one of the servants came to me with a small slip of paper and said, "Master Sera."
Something's written on it, so it's probably a written message.
"What's this..."
I took it and looked over the note.
"Hmm hmm... got it."
The sender was Fiora, and it said that since she was doing work, she wanted me to come to the underground magic research laboratory when I had time...
It's just as we discussed yesterday.
Furthermore, it also said that Teresa could come anytime as well.
She hasn't come back yet... but her training itself seemed to be going well, so she'll probably come back here after she finishes reporting to the various organizations.
"When Teresa gets back to this room, give this to her, okay?"
I handed the slip of paper back to the servant.
"Understood. Is it all right if I just hand it to her?"
"Yeah. I already talked about it yesterday, after all. That's enough."
Having said that, even though I'd just come back, I left the room again to head to the research laboratory.

I'd just finished lunch break and started on the afternoon's work... but the number of civil officials I passed in the main building's hallway was fewer than yesterday.
It's true that the time of day was a little different... but it seems like the insanely busy period ended yesterday or the day before.
There's no doubt that today's busy too, but even so, they're probably keeping it well controlled within the predicted range from the office.
If that's the case, then everyone in the office shouldn't end up in a situation like collapsing from exhaustion.
While observing the state of the mansion, I headed toward the basement.
On the way, I passed by the training grounds too, but no one was using them today.
Except for us, it's only really used when Teresa trains the female soldiers.
It's a pretty good facility, including the shower room in the back... but without outside guests or anything, the number of users won't increase much.
I muttered, "What a waste..." as I passed through the training grounds and headed for the underground passage.
