The eastern district had developed as an adventurer's area centered around the Adventurer Guild.
With the dismantling facility also newly established, most meetings related to adventurer businesses can now be held at either the headquarters or the dismantling facility, which I think has further strengthened that trend.
There are no workshops for weapons, magic tools, or alchemists' ateliers, as expected, but shops selling goods sourced from them have been appearing, and craftsmen sometimes come out to handle simple repairs.
If one were so inclined, adventurers could probably get by with just the eastern district.
Foot traffic decreases compared to daytime, but people still roam around in the early morning and even late at night, and adventurers are everywhere no matter where you are.
I think they're aware that this is their place too.
The adventurers have formed something like a vigilante group, after all.
Their relationship with the Knight Order is good as well... so it would be difficult for people coming from elsewhere to do anything shady, unlike in other districts.
"What would you say is a facility that's still lacking in the eastern district...?"
Seriana, who had been silently listening to my explanation, voiced that once I'd finished speaking.
"A facility that's lacking in the eastern district? ...If I had to say, entertainment facilities, but those are intentionally not being built, after all."
"Right. It's to prevent people from drinking too much or getting too worked up and ending up in fights and such."
In response to Seriana's question, Elena and I casually voiced whatever came to mind.
"Even so, there are places to eat... so then, would it be lodging facilities?"
"There are a few right now, but the number's small."
Most of the adventurers in the lord's capital originally lived in this city, so there's no need for them to stay at inns.
Therefore, while there might be places in the eastern district using the second or third floors of shops as lodgings, as far as I'm aware, there shouldn't be any full-fledged lodging facilities aimed at adventurers.
Then what about adventurers coming from outside... it wouldn't be strange for that question to come up, but that's resolved by the unique positioning of this Liana lord's capital.
Though people might come to Liana as guards for merchants or nobles, few would migrate all the way to the edge of human habitation just to hunt.
Of course, there are those rare few, but those people have already succeeded and possess sufficient assets.
So, such people, like merchants and the wealthy, mostly use the expensive inns around the central plaza as their base.
When I explained that, the two of them nodded as if they already understood.
"But, the development policy is going to change, right? Since we'll be pushing development of the northern forest and various places within the territory rather than the demonlands, the level required to operate as an adventurer in the lord's capital will drop. Don't you think it's necessary to avoid missing out on such people?"
I nodded with a "Hmm..." at Seriana's words.
"Compared to earnings from the demonlands or dungeons, it'll drop considerably, after all. They temporarily can't hunt due to some trigger, run out of cash, become unable to properly carry out adventurer activities, and fall into becoming criminals... it's a commonly heard story, and to avoid such situations, cheap inns will be necessary, won't they."
"In Liana, you can't live outside the city. Especially in the lord's capital."
In other territories, even lord's capital class cities sometimes have slum-like areas outside the city walls... but in Liana, that's basically impossible.
Compared to other places, the west... especially Liana simply has more monsters, and even outside the demonlands, they're stronger than average monsters.
If someone carelessly built a slum outside the city walls in such a place, it'd be attacked by monsters in no time.
Because of this, while other territories turn a blind eye, in Liana, settling outside cities and villages—not just the lord's capital—is prohibited.
Thanks to that, public order is good... but for those with unstable income like adventurers, it's inevitably a land with a high hurdle.
That's precisely why the level and order of adventurers is maintained to a certain degree... I suppose it has both pros and cons?
