"It's Teacher! ... What is it?"

The adventurer instructor, who'd been spoken to by an apprentice adventurer boy tugging at the hem of his clothes, pulled the hem back and asked in return.

"Is Vice-Captain Sera... someone important?"

"......Huh?"

When he heard the boy's words and asked back, "What're you talking about?", before he knew it, children other than that boy had gathered as well, and they began voicing their doubts one after another.

"I wonder what he's talking about with Teacher Teresa?"

"Doesn't Teacher Teresa seem kind of like Vice-Captain Sera's subordinate?"

"Sera's one of Captain Alec's subordinates, right? So why's Teacher Teresa obeying her?"
(TL Note: I'm thinking that Imma leave titles like 'Young Lord/Lady', 'Master/Mistress', and etc as is instead of making them sensei and stuff cause the setting is more euro and I kinda wanna do that. So, when I do the retranslation, expect to see that stuff hanged.)

Each question was slightly different, but their doubts were all about Sera and Teresa's relationship.

The adventurer who'd been asked understood the relationship and status of the two, but... apparently the children did not.

As he was surprised by that, a voice called out from behind the children: "What's wrong?"

Before he knew it, other adventurers had gathered as well.

The female soldiers were continuing their training, and as expected they weren't about to mix in with this group, but they seemed curious and had moved closer.

"These brats... seem to think Vice-Captain Sera's just an ordinary adventurer."

When another adventurer said that in an exasperated voice, the children began to object loudly.

"She's not just anybody! She's one of Alec's comrades!"

He called together not only the children gathered around, but all of the children participating in training.

"I've got a good idea of what you lot think Vice-Captain Sera is like..."

"If you handle her the wrong way, you're likely to mess up somewhere one day, so I'll explain now while we have the chance. ... Normally, this is something you should learn on your own, you know?"

The children wore puzzled looks, but at the adventurers' serious expressions, they silently nodded.

"To put it plainly, Vice-Captain Sera is the third highest-ranking person in this territory, from the top. After Lady Liesel and Lady Seriana. She's above Captain Alec and Mr. Zighart, whom you all respect."

"Of course, she's above Lady Teresa too."

Perhaps because they couldn't understand those words at first, the children stayed silent, but after a beat, they raised a shout.

"...They're gathering over there, huh? I wonder if something happened?"

"It doesn't look like any problem has occurred, but they were making a bit of noise a moment ago. I wonder if there was something they wanted to caution the children about during training?"

I watched that direction for a while; they occasionally pointed over here, but even so, they didn't call us over or anything.
