Unfreeze frozen animations!
Long have we been plagued by this nasty bug, but fear not our knight in shiny armor is here. (Ok I'm going to stop this gibberish...)
Anyway now finally someone told me a fix to this. All you need to do next time an animation freezes is:
Right click the window logo on your task bar.
Left click the task manager on the menu that pops up.
Doing this magically unfreezes the animation. I have no clue why this works but it does. You cannot start the task manager in any other way. This might also only work on Windows 10, not tested on any other versions of Windows. The fix is also described in the wiki (link below) with pictures.

Any chance of a method for unfreezing when playing on Linux via Wine? Every time I go to the orc camp it freezes (usually once it starts repeating the animation sequence).

After meet Shara and Anne at the Pub i got a black screen, evrything work but no picture only black screen
It always gets stuck at the Orc camp scene I tried opening the the task manager as you described above but that did not solve anything. I am playing the game on a Windows 10 PC.
Once I had to sleep at Bogwarts because it said i couldn't enter either bedroom in town. Got stuck in milk barn after going to relieve pain. Just repeated scene over and over.
Anyone who knows what to do plz lemme know. I'm like continuing again nd again but it is stucking at the same place. Just after doing 2 works and going to give the tax it says you have to work before reveling your earnings and it also not let's me sleep anywhere as it says you have to pay tax before sleeping. Help me out I'm stuck in. 😭😭😭😭😭
You need to do work as it says to you... enter the tavern/pub once it's night time and ask the wench for work. Spamming comments won't get you an answer quicker, but if you'd explored a little on your own you would probably have found the answer quicker.
I’m finding on Mac that if I put the game in the background and return to it that videos resume playing.
Strange but I'll add that as well to "how to fix" in the wiki. Though since I've not tested it I need to say it's untested even if I believe that you're telling me the truth.
