Makes it all the better
Always been more of a Goku fan but Vegeta's writing this tournament so far trumps Goku's by far, the his reasons to power up, and him calling out Toppo for basically throwing away his pride which we all know is everything to Vegeta.
I'm not sure if anyone have seen this before in his other reactions, but this is the first I've seen Jack jump out of his chair for excitement in an anime.
you should have seen him in the one piece episode where crocodile shows up in Impel Down

Toppo was never the final boss, Jiren was. Remember, Jiren was "known" as the man who surpassed the God of Destruction.
I liked it a lot more when Vegeta's Final Explosion wasn't so much a move, as much it was just him using literally all the energy he had to blow himself up. It being a move, that he can simply put the breaks on because "his body is stronger and thus can weather the blast" kinda removes all of the emotional weight of using it in the first place since the point is that you're not meant to survive detonating literally ALL of your energy. Not to mention it's immediately contradicted by the fact, that next episode he's back to using Blue Evolved with little to no problems for most of the episode. Still an alright episode but, eh, I wish they could've wrapped the fight up cleaner.
Fair, but you know they can't allow Vegeta to just keel over and die.
since the material used to create Tournament Ring is supposed to be much more dense and heavier than the strongest material from universe 7 which is Katchin, it does make somewhat sense that 17 tried to bury Top under all the ruble, better to try something than nothing

I genuinely shivered when i first saw Vegeta use final explosion again after so long. I feel like he should've died from it but i'm not complaining
I agree that he should have died since Final Explosion isn't a move so much as Vegeta just using all of his energy to blow himself up. The whole point of Vegeta's move is to implode to take both himself and his opponent out, so yeah he should have died. Tournament of Power doesn't have any casualties besides Zeno though, so ig it makes sense he didn't die.
