Don't forget that Byakuya just got back from training at the Royal Palace as well as all the training he did without his Bankai, it's no doubt that he no-diffed Sternritter N (guy with the gun) on top of the other two. Shunsui was mostly just caught off guard as the invasion was just beginning and they really had no idea how strong the Sternritter actually were, and lost his eye to Sternritter N's 'Ult' Grimaniel (japanese for Walk of God or God's Step) that he just tried to use on Byakuya.
Pepe is probably one of the worst bleach characters lol. The next couple episodes are hype tho
