if you use these words/phrases or have these opinions when talking about anime not trolling you should genuinely five star frog splash into an empty pool from the top of your 4 story airbnb. "over animated" "gatekeep" "tourist" "x sucks" without giving any real examples/ or reason "jinwoo has aura" "defending rudeus" saying these anime suck because everyone else says it or you wanna be different: sao, fairy tail, bleach, death note, dragon ball. "your a larper" sometimes people just dont remember or care that much. honestly saying anything that doesn't have nuance. i have watched probably 1000 anime and solo leveling is probably in the bottom half of that but i will watch s3 sometime before i die. lolis are fine to "sexualize" "its filler" when its not even filler its just a slow episode "its slow" its almost like the entire point is to take its time.
Kagurabachi anime is gonna end up with more bandwagon fans than JJK
I think tomboys are better than femboys let’s be honest we all think this deep down tomboys are the best
Fairy Tail is peak. Worst part is "power of friendship" dogshit which ruined a certain fight vs a certain "thing" at the end, the series is goated
EVERYTHING I HATE ABOUT THE ONE PIECE ANIME: First off gear 5 is not a bad transformation for luffy but imo it should have been introduced after they defeated kaido. imo oda coulda tweaked it slightly so big mom and kaido got jumped instead of luffy beating kaido and kid and law beating big mom. if this happened it would feel less like kaido and big mom were frauds and they just got jumped. i think it would also make the five elders feel less fraudulent because luffy would of had the new transformation power buff. also imo gear 5 doesn't fit the current storyline of one piece, op is a very goofy and silly show but since the timeskip its become a way more serious show so seeing kaido (KING OF BEASTS KAIDO, YONKO KAIDO,) The man who jumps off sky islands for a bit of fun KAIDO get beaten by a looney tunes character doesn't sit right with me. 2nd, the anime pacing ruins the show for me. the one piece anime is the type of thing you watch once keep up with. honestly i think its really easy to watch one piece one time but if you try to rewatch you go back and realize how bad the pacing is once you dont have the hype of not knowing whats coming next keeping you going. and the thing that makes me even madder is know that toei knows what they're doing. if they just thought a little bit they would know damn were about to catch up lets do a filler arc after every arc. but instead they kept fucking the show over with bad pacing to keep the money coming in then announced a remake and made it seasonal. lets do some math, anime episodes on average cover 2 manga chapters so one piece should be half the current length instead of having 10 less episodes than chapters. not only does it ruin the old stuff for me it completely ruins everything past whole cake cause thats when i caught up and started reading. like i enjoyed marineford so much more when i watched jacks heavily edited down reactions.
also i just want to put a disclaimer out there everything i just said in point 2 only applies to the current content of the CUURRENT anime because i live in the present. also most of my hate for the one piece anime comes from the shit toei did to butcher this story and how everyone just gobbles it up with a smile on their face
Eyeshield 21 is the greatest sports anime ever
I think franky is the best straw hat in terms of ability’s and how enjoyable it is to see him on screen he isn’t a emotionless twat like zoro but isn’t annoying like brook the perfect middle ground
Brooks second backstory is so much better than his first
Fishmen should be kept underwater indefinitely (preferably in cages) and stop trying to be seen as equals.
Jack what's your take on Zoro surpassing shanks by the time when the last war starts or even before that. I'm theory crafting this because Mihawk was shown as equal to Shanks and he never lost to him during their duals. Mihawk even lost interest in dualing him after shanks lost his arm considering him as weaker. So, if Zoro is destined to surpass mihawk then will he surpass shanks too. Also, since Luffy admire shanks so much and have great respect for him would it be zoro who has to fight shanks during their fight for one piece or their fight for the last road poneglyph
no long explanation as for why but I think you've lowkey gotta have a severe reading comprehension issue if you don't think Blackbeard is the main villain of the series.
Dandadan is mediocre at greatest.
um, she's actually a really great mother to luffy and ace. why would you slander her like this? :( have you no heart? take back what you said about dadan :(
Silent Voice top 3 best anime movie.
Solo Leveling is the most overglazed show of all time and its not even top 50 anime/manwha.
FMI > Dressrosa
Dressrosa is worse then Syrup Village in the anime.
My Anime hot take is that New gen anime will never be as great as older generation. I feel like in the new gen anime has lost the amout of soul that used to be but into anime has declined as years start to come. Their story is not as great as it used to be. For example when looking at shows like demon slayer(highest grossing anime movie OAT) They aren't that story based. Dont get me wrong I like demon slayer and adore the movie, the anime excel's at its hype moments, but when looking into the story it isn't as deep as other animes like AOT or OP. Dont get me wrong there are some hidden gems like JJk and Vinland saga where those new gen animes are just straight up peak and do great.( jjk has good story, great emotion, action, hype, exposition, and overall a masterpeice, and vinland saga is like a life lesson everybody should know as well as great fights and amazing story telling). But when you look at other animes like DaDaDan an Chainsawman they are carried by fan servise/gooner bait( only watched that 1st season of dadadan and dropped it because I though it was to freaky and dropped chainsawman 1-3 episode because I thought it was also just straight up gooner material). And then you also have animes like solo leveling with no story, no good background charecters, no charecter development, no good world building, and only good fights. and finally Black Clover which is just boring IMOand dropped in 100+ episodes in. So in conclusion, the new gen anime space is kinda iffy right now and is being carried by animation(i like good animated fights but that can't be the animes only thing they are good at). Also my top 5 anime are 1.Onepiece2.Jojos3.AOT.4Gurren Lagan5.Vinland saga.
People that call Roger a bum because other characters have better combat feats are completely brainless and don't understand what it means to be the pirate king. Roger is the king of the pirates not because he is the strongest of his era but because he was the most free. He conquered the seas in a way that no other captain ever has since and he had fun doing it too, he doesn't need crazy power-scaling or aura moments to be my GOAT.
Helmeppo has one of the best glow ups in all of one piece, maybe even in all anime, period. Considering how much of a bum and complete asshole this guy was in episode 2 he has had more exponential growth both in terms of power and character in the 2 years since than anyone else, aside for Koby of course.
After getting into the basement in AoT, Iseyama fell down the stairs and got amnesia. Then he realized he has to finish a manga anyway and he has no fucking idea what to do so he will create a worst political commentary that has ever graced a paper
Dragon Ball Fans basically Goku Gazers can’t take that Goku loses to Saitama & Rimuru Tempest
Jack isn’t that good at bounty Rush and gets mad over pixels and isn’t the smartest cookie in the cookie jar he’s just the rotten corner brownie
Blackbeard is the final Fight for Luffy and Blackbeard will steal Imus fruit after Imu gets defeated and Kagurabachi will be the hottest new anime in 2027
Idk if its a hot take, but I think that Araki is a more creative writer than Oda. Oda is amazing maintaining a massive narrative by foreshadowing, connecting dots, and worldbuilding. But Araki is far more willing to reinvent his own series in each part. Protagonists change, settings, power systems, tone, genre, etc. One is building a bigger sandbox while the other is playing in it.
I have a few here 1. One Punch Man is terrible, not even mid just terrible. The main character's impact is the most integral part to a story. For a show to be good, the main character must have sufficient impact to those in the story. Their ideology and beliefs need to be challenged and shown in order to do so. With that being said, Saitama is a vegetable. He is not an intriguing main character and his impact on the story is just a gag. Even Demon Slayer is more enjoyable and compelling than OPM. 2. When it comes out, and it will, Usopp vs Van Augur and Chopper vs Doc Q are going to be a top 10 fight in one piece 3. To Be Hero X has the best fights ever
Guy sensei killed Madara. The rest of the story is an infinite Tsukuyomi genjutsu that Madara placed on himself after being fatally wounded. He battled his consciousness and had a revised vision for the future of the village.
No idea if you'll see this but here's mine. Naruto is better than one piece. Now I love one piece but let's go through the facts. One piece has horrible pacing especially in dressrosa and Wano. Wano has super high peaks but it'll never be as good as marineford which was perfect from start to finish. I mean do we remember the sumo fight or the ice oni in Wano? It was miserable. One piece also has terrible character development for characters that aren't Luffy, Zoro, or sanji. Naruto may not have as good of animation quality as current one piece but it has the best hand to hand choreography in anime history and has a way better paced story. Oda refusing to kill off characters whereas Naruto has some of the saddest deaths in anime history as well. Overall one piece is like an 8.5/10 anime and Naruto is a 9. Naruto has less glaring issues and better consistency.
I hate Madara! Okay well, the aurafarming and design works on me, especially Neil Kaplan's legendary performance. But he is not a good character. He's missing half of a backstory and most of his motivation, and it massively hurts his character. You get an extremely compelling backstory, but then once the village is formed, his reasons for dissatisfaction is offscreened and his ideology is completely unexplained and undeveloped. His strength is also godlike for no good reason. Madara vs the 5 kage single handedly began the downfall of the series' established and satisfying power levels, and I was shocked by how much I hated this "beloved" fight. Watching the five strongest shinobi in the world be dogwalked for the sake of hype moments and aura was awful to watch. The fight shrunk the world and ruined the worldbuilding. The only characters that matter, and retroactively have ever mattered, were the reincarnations. People blame Kaguya for ruining Madara but his problems began long before that point. It hurts, but he wasn't shafted, he missed his chance to be good long before then.
Marineford is not a top 7 One Piece arc; Egghead, Water 7, Enies Lobby, Elbaf, Whole Cake, Dressrosa, and Sabaody Archipelago are all better. People glaze it because it has an amazing setup and kills off two important characters. It has one good run of episodes but is inconsistent for the rest of the arc and has no good fights. I love the ending, but the writing is not on the same level as the other arcs in the show. (hype tho)
It's also nowhere near as emotional as other arcs, and Ace's death doesn't make sense until you see more of his character in Post War. They should have developed Ace a bit more before his death so we could feel it more, instead of only crying because Luffy was sad. Whitebeard's death was a very high peak, but nothing else in the arc comes close. Other arcs match it, if not exceed it, multiple times.
Demon Slayer is super Mid(not bad, just overrated). The movie Infinity castle though, is so boring I didn't even manage to finish it and I'm insulted Crunchyroll made me wait an entire year just to make me mad.
I don't understand the Stardust Crusader's glaze. Stand of the Week got so boring during the Tarot card Stands, let alone the Egyptian god Stands.
To be fair all of jojo since part 3 is stand of the week
While it's entirely possible he is the final villian, Imu hasn't yet earned enough of an emotional connection to readers as a character, like Blackbeard has, for him to feel like an earned or complete *final* antagonist. It might change with a void century flashback, but either way it may feel cheep compared to Blackbeard, who was involved in the story so much longer than Imu has been.
Hottest anime takes : 1. If you didn't watch the Dragonball series growing up, you opinion on power scaling is irrelevant as you don't have the comprehension and passion that comes with debating who could win in a fight and the ability to creatively articulate the importance of breath scaling and sweat scaling. Power scaling is what built the anime community to what it is now, especially on the internet. The earliest mainstream power scale debate is Goku vs Superman; if you wasn't there for that then keep you mouth quiet. 2. Not liking Ace as a character in One piece is another reading comprehension that people struggle with because they lack to ability to put themselves in other peoples positions when the emotional value of a scene isn't spelt out in front of them. His character decisions play into his insecurities as he didn't want to be a problem to anyone as his birth caused more pain than joy throughout blue planet. 3. Only watching anime subbed as an English speaker is performative. I can understand live action shows (Money heist) however, not being able to listen to animation in English or the refusal to do so takes away from cultural anime impactful moments. Cowboy bebop, Akira, Angel beats, Trigun SAO, bleach etc can all elevate your experience if people didn't want to be an elitist like they get more credit from Japanese people. 4. Filler in anime died because people attention spans have died. Anime provides an immersive experience where filler can elevate you love for a character and give great comical relief. The times where filler is a problem is when its used to elongate scenes that create unnecessary tension (panning to different angles of the same person). Hitsugaya is an example of someone who has wide spread love because of the anime and how fleshed out the filler made his character look cool when if you look back, he hasn't done anything that badass for his reputation. 5. Yamato is a male character. The only reason that people care is because they want to be able to lust over them without the guilt of questioning their sexuality. Yamato stated that they're Oden. Kaido calls Yamato his son. Yamato is bathing with guys. Nobdy cared for Bon clay. Kiku, Ivankov, Inazuma but Yamtato can't be oden? The only reason Oda had to clarify Yamatos gender is for sales and he must've been told to do it to promote Yamato's popularity. Girth Daddy Yamato is MALE and if they were a woman i promise that YOU will be a BOTTOM & a SUB, with YOUR eyes rolling to the back of your skull whilst her 12 inch .... nvm you get my point :) 6. You can't eat and watch anime subbed at the same time and say you caught everything that happened and was said.
Ichigo > Naruto and Luffy as the best MC from the big three
Ace is a trash character who barley did anything but somehow has fans
Shanks is so far ahead of mihawk in every aspect of the story, it's not even worth having a debate, also haki does not equal swordmanship skill, this is obvious to literally anyone that can read
jjk is the most overrated anime and is a b+ AT BEST aside from really good fights and animation, what does jjk have going for it? The story is lackluster (seemed to be going somewhere in season 1 with having to collect sukunas fingers but then just turned into a fight fest once that plot point vanished), not many characters are fully developed/fleshed out, 90% of the side cast is forgettable from either being killed off way to early just for pure shock value or not having enough screen time. And just a personal thing I think the villian cast is extremely weak outside of sukuna (who even then isnt anywhere near the level of a aizen, dio, madara, ect just to name a few) not saying its a bad anime because it is very enjoyable to watch and turn ur brain off to but objectively its not even a top 5 new gen when other shows do things so much better than jjk, they're just not as flashy. dont crucify me pls :D
So you watch season 1 then stopped watching
Fan service isn't inherently bad. (sorry might be a long read) People hear “fan service” and immediately think it means boobs, beach episodes, or characters being sexualised, but fan service is way broader than that. -Bringing back a character everyone loves? Fan service. -Having the protagonist use an old attack they haven't used in years? Fan service. -Bringing back an iconic outfit, transformation, soundtrack, location, or call-back from an -earlier arc? Fan service. -Even bringing back obscure lore that only long-time fans would remember is fan service. That's exactly what fan service is supposed to do, the problem isn't fan service, the problem is when fan service exists purely to remind you that you're watching something you're supposed to be excited about instead of actually earning that excitement. -If an old ability comes back purely because the writers know people will recognise it, despite it making no sense? Bad fan service. -If a serious emotional scene gets interrupted because the studio wants a random horny shot? Bad fan service. But if the story naturally builds toward something, and then rewards long-time viewers with a call-back they've been waiting years for? THAT'S GOOD FAN SERVICE. So stop treating “fan service” like it's automatically a bad word. If an anime can make you scream because it brought back something you loved from 100 episodes ago, (one piece as an example) I'd argue that's the writers doing their job.
One Punch Man is more carried by its S1 animation than Demon Slayer. Demon Slayer story while very simple I find better than One Punch Man regardless of animation quality.
Mihawk is a fraud! he cant be the "Strongest Swordsman in the World" if Imu is a swordmen as well. he can also one shot mihawk with the "blade of sea god Fragarach"
Imu doesn't reveal themselves to anyone besides select Celestial Dragons. Why would people consider someone they don't know as the best swordsman in the world?
One piece has character beats that people point to as flaws in the writing but reveal very deep pathological flaws in characters and are clues to their deeper anxieties. One example is when Sanji confronts Absalom because he wanted the clear fruit so he can watch women bathe. While it is blatant, I think it sets up this notion that Sanji is incredibly hypocritical and has now come face to face with somebody who is actually hurting people the same way that he has often dreamed of. He has a vendetta against Absalom because he is now addressing his own internal conflict with his moral compass and realizing his worst traits are still there. I don't blame anyone who doesn't like the execution I just think it's meant to be a setup for everything that came down the line and is currently happening.
Foxy easy diffs captain kidd btw🤤
I feel sorry for you as the one Kidd fan 🤣🤣
Prime roger or whitebeard beats prime rocks high diff not extreme diff👻❤️😨
One piece has the worst pacing of all anime (idk if that’s a hot take)
Just Dressrosa respectfully
Stardust Crusaders is the best Jojo part out of all of the parts you’ve watched yet
anime only?
Bleach is not the worst out of the big 3. That belongs to shippuden considering how inconstant it is in shippuden and the filler killed it for me and the constant flashback watching it weekly while it aired
It's the definitely the worst in utilization and world building it's a straight line of plot to plot with very little character introspection especially Ichigo that's why the full bring arc is the best part and don't understand why it's hated.
Bleach is the best anime of all time!
Rocks is what Roger should have been
USOPP SHOULD EVENTUALLY GET CONQUERORS HAKI
Jack is a big femboy that likes tentacles inside his anal gland☺️☺️
I agree
Season 1 JJK > Season 2 Season 2 OPM > Season 1 SBR’s OP sucks. People are only focused on the ED because it’s worse. The big one: dragon ball is mid af. Literally bottom of the barrel of what is considered acceptable anime. There’s never any stakes because dragon balls. There’s no adventure to find them (anymore) because MC can teleport anywhere and his friend invented a device to find them. And if that’s not bad enough, there are backup dragon balls Goku can teleport to on Namek whenever he needs them. Winners in fights are determined by who has the bigger number instead of any kind of battle tactics (except for when Piccolo kills Raditz). If Vegeta wasn’t such a great character, the show would probably be unwatchable.
